Three words--Practice, Practice, Practice. Start it, get frustrated, put it down, walk away.....Cup of tea, or a shot of good bourbon. Begin again--start it, get frustrated, put it down, walk away....I said the heck with tea and stuck with the bourbon.....again and again and again. This was how I began learning peyote stitch. Thanks, Allie, for sharing this BB episode-good hints in this one to help a beginner.

I almost gave up on peyote until I watched your trick with the needle holding the first row in place. You're a genius. I'm left handed, but I only eat and write left handed. So, sometimes my brain is on overdrive. Thank you

Great tips! Would like to know how to add a border on the bridge thread side if you;didn’t do it when you made the piece.

Another trick, is I use a flat nose pliers to pull thread tight next to the work to save my arthritic fingers. It's a little clunky, but worth the extra time in the long run.

A trick that I like to use is I wax my Fire Line or Wild Fire when Peyote stitching 8/0 or larger seed beads. It helps keep them in place and makes a tighter weave.

I wish this video was out when the boxes first started. Lol. My first try was one of the projects in the box. I never could get it to work. But the next months box project was easier. Knowing to start with larger beads than a 11/0 would have helped also the needles trick. Thank you so much for another amazing video, I always look forward to them every week

I made a few rings and a superduo peyote bracelet that I found really easy to make after I learned how to make this stitch. I think it is a very easy stitch.
