To be honest Julie they all look fantastic, you have done an amazing job 💓! Don't be so hard on yourself. You could also try using a long neck lighter (like what is used for lighting a BBQ or gas stove) to pop bubbles and not damage your molds.

I think all 4 of them are amazing Julie, the 2 that didn’t bloom as much just weren’t having an amazing wave day as the other 2. To me, they are like pictures taken at different times of the day ;-) The waves look so 3D and much more realistic this way!! I love them all and again, you did an absolutely amazing job Julie, thank you for sharing them with us!!

All 4 are gorgeous. The bottom two look like a bit of stormy seas, awesome. The two you like have some really beautiful rolling waves. Sometimes we are our worst critic and really hard on ourselves. But you are the awesome artist and naturally are entitled to your opinion. I truly love them all. You did a great job, in my humble opinion. 🐹 Much love to you. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Happy New Year as well. May it be a better year. 💕😊💕🤗💕 Oh Erika from Artist Till Death was playing around with a holographic sheet today. It was new to her and I told her about you making your own molds and how you have done a lot with it. She mentioned later on about how great an artist you are to everyone. I don't know if she will hit you up about it, but she might. 😊

I use a syringe for piping it’s much easier and you don’t use as much on waste
@kikibigbangfan3540
@kikibigbangfan3540 2 жыл бұрын
I think i might know what happened with the differences in the wave bloom. On the top 2 coasters that bloomed really well. You drug the tip of your piping bag just slightly under the top surface of the resin allowing it sink in a little bit deeper. Whereas on the bottom 2 that didn't bloom as naturally, you floated the piping bag over the surface allowing the opaque resin to lay on top and not sink into the top layer of resin as deep. Which might have hindered the wave bloom movement. I don't really know that much about resin art, ( I'm new to it, last cpl of months) but that's just my observation. Sooooo I could be very very wrong 😂😜😯.

I can only imagine how hard that is for you to run your resin over your mold, normally you keep every little drip cleaned off. they turned out great.
@serenawilkinson1769
@serenawilkinson1769 2 жыл бұрын
Sooo pretty! Tip: prop up between the 4 of your mold across the center. Pour in your sand & clear, adding embellishments, after curing, lay mold flat, adding in your water colors. Something new to consider. Prevents floaters. Hugs from Tennessee USA!

I don’t know much at all about resin art and these all look stunning!! With the trouble you had with the blobs at the edges, if you had wiped the raised edge clean, then dragged the blobs out again, I think they may not have kept falling back in… if that makes sense? So, because you left the excess on the raised edges, when you dragged more resin out of the mold (to move the blobs out) it just kept wanting to run back in?? I hope this makes some sense to you!! Hehehe

I’m pretty sure the reason for the difference was the angle you aimed at it- the back was a shallower angle. I think you’re right that you pushed the white down rather than back. Regardless, they’re both beautiful- nobody would ever notice except you!
