Had a 2009. Switch on the secondary flies , so it wouldn't limit power in 1st-5th gear. Wheelies on command! Almost never used it. Made it much too nervous for my taste.

I can see the hand is still smooth on the throttle, which prevents the wheele. Riding this bike we must be smooth with the throttle in order to live another day :) So it requires some breaking through the instincts to open it up in an ubrupt way.

Your exaust sounds JUST like mine. I have never done a wheelie on my SV650 in owning it and riding it for over 5 years. Deiced to try today on the ZX14R and got the front wheel up in 1st no problem, need to learn how to set it down gentle so I dont mess up my bike though as its a heavy bike with a long wheelbase, all that translating into way more force on the suspension. I am not a motovlog person, but I am a content creator and enjoy recording so I have a simlar setup to you (360 camera, chin mount, etc) one thing I have not done yet is actually record my voice, curous what your microphone setup is? Sounds pretty good picking up both your voice and the outside sounds without too much wind noise.

It's also a 1441 cc engine that weighs much more then a 1000 cc engine. Add that to a longer wheel base and it makes wheeling a bit harder. With that said, my ZZR1400 (206 RWHP) wheelies in 1:st, 2:nd and 3:d gear. Also bear in mind where you are seated on the bike. (Forward or more at the back).

The factory limits throttle to 80 percent 1st through 3rd gear. Removing limiters through tuning really wakes it up.

I have a 2015 ZX 14 R...30 year anniversary ninja. I can pull a wheelie with 5RP m's in 1st gear shift to 2 second . If you want you can bring it on 2nd gear about 70 miles an hour by about 5 RPMS stand up. To afraid to shift the 3rd gear because by then the road runs out and you're at about a 150 miles an hour. I keep it set at full power..... traction control 1....... I don't even take it off track control.......

my gen 1 zzr1400 power wheelies in 3rd when pinning it, quite a trill when your at a ton plus and not expecting it, not sure if it has had a ecu flash but has got twin yoshi's and fueling is real smooth, but it doesn't seem to wheelie in 1st or 2nd off the throttle but may be im not pushing as hard in the lower gears or maybe because i'm lent more forward when launching and tucked back behind the screen by the time i hit 3rd ,also when i add panniers filled with camping gear the front can come up on the throttle quite easily ,strangely the misses don't like that .

What everyone should know is the 14 is a longer wheelbase than other sport bikes. That’s why a lot of guys don’t have steering dampers.

You don't have to jerk the bike, you don't have to drop the clutch, you don't have to worry about your seating position just wait for100/120 kmph and aggressively open the throttle. Trust the bike not to flip. Power on F. KTRC set on 1. As easy to wheelie as any liter bike, just feels safer. My 20c.........

My Gen 1 ZX-14 is almost impossible to keep the front tire down in 1st above 8k at ¾ throttle. It's tuned with a single Yoshimura full system. In 2nd gear I can get it to power wheelie, but I can keep it down easily enough.

Mine easily does power wheelies in 2nd gear once the fuel gets to about 2 bars as there is less weight. Mine is a gen 2 2012 which i think are less restricted than the newer ones because of emissions

Getting on the throttle a little more aggressive should do it,or some gearing,I've ridden 2 different zx14 one with gearing and the other stock gearing, the stock geared zx14 power wheelies just have to be aggressive on first gear at higher rpm she power wheelies, the geared up zx14 power wheelies with ease and at a lower rpm, that's my experience with the zx14 .

Got to agree with comments below. I have a gen1 2010 - standard! and 1st - 2nd 100% wheelie constantly. I cant keep it down. In my opinion you just being too linear with the power. However I've been practicing 1st gear, clutch up wheelies. 5k - clutch up! she wheelies proper nice. Dont forget the engine is also very low center of gravity and very heavy! My m8's blackbird is much taller and top heavy compared to the 14. Good video.

It is a combination of the long wheelbase and the fact that the bike is relatively tall geared. I've seen photos of wheelie aces that have done really high wheelies on the ZZR 1400 or ZX-14R though. When traction control is on, the ZX-14R will not wheelie. Mine has a -1 front sprocket and with traction control turned off, it will wheelie easily.

In second gear at about 20-30 miles an hour you have to pull the clutch in and nail it ! pop the clutch it will come up on almost any bike will come up and just make sure you back off if it gets too high for you, but it's not impossible you need experience and seat time, period

I have exact bike...on the lower setting i can power it up 1st and second at 320lbs.... Effortlessly with traction control off. It will lift on 1 st setting but engine cuts power as it gets to high. 2nd setting it will pop up briefly but come right back down. 3rd settings your smashing your nuts, it will viciously slam you down. Your problem is simple....FEAR!! Learn to cover and use your rear brake and keep adding gas faster and harder till it comes up.

Busa and 14 are low & kinda stretched-out, compared to other bikes. I'm not good at wheelies either and too scared to WOT in first gear 😆 I'm about 99% sure that 14 will come up unless the e-nannies won't let you. I'm no expert though.

Honestly, my 2009 was SO SPICEY, I could have FLIPPED that bitch in 1st gear, if I whacked it @ 6K rpm. My 14 was STAGE 1?, as follows: Factory Pro Velocity Stacks, Secondary Flies OUT, K&N Air filter, PAIR Block off, FULL MUZZY M-10/M-14 4-1 SS exhaust system, STOCK gearing, 50lbs lighter than stock, Pump gas(91 octane), PC-5, & lastly: "dyno-tuned" to purrrfection. Your bike is not "set up" properly. (Pro tip: weight* & tune matter👍🏽) (*Fun Fact: Gen 1's(like my '09) didn't have electronics/rider aid's. They were raw & much lighter). -💚🍀

Doing a wheelie is hard on the bike (really bad on the fork seals). And lets be honest from a regular drivers point of view ... somebody wheeling away are just a bunch of dick heads. There really isn't a reason for it other than wanting to be like racers wheeling away. There is no place for it on the public roads.
