I think it may be a little different. He said the least volume that gives you the most benefit. If there is a range of volumes that all get you to progress at the fastest rate then target the bottom of that range. Basically the bottom end of MAV. It's possible your right that he meant targeting the MEV is most beneficial, IDK. Eventually MEV and MAV converge anyway.
