ARE YOU EVEN USING THESE??
The 85th edition of the Tata Steel Masters is a 14-player single round-robin taking place from 14-29 January in Wijk aan Zee, the Netherlands. World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen heads a field that includes Ding Liren, Fabiano Caruana and teenage stars Gukesh, Arjun Erigaisi, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Vincent Keymer and Praggnanandhaa.
The time control is 100 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 50 minutes for 20 moves, then 15 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment per move from move 1. A tie for first place will be decided by two blitz (3+2) games. If still tied, the players keep playing single "sudden death" games where White gets 2.5 minutes and Black 3 minutes until one side wins. The monetary prizes will be shared evenly. Also if you notice, Pragg even after being so tired, arranged all the pieces on the board at the end and went out...classic! What a game! What a fight! Kudos to both Ding and Pragg... so, your logic is: He won one game vs a 2800+ player, then he is 100% contender for WC title? How is that even logical? You realize anish just beat MC? Do you know how many players managed to beat magnus? Even hans did it lol... Winning one game vs a 2800+ has nothing (absolutely nothing) to do with a player's chances for WC. I am not saying that it is a fluke or meaningless win, but the correlation you're making is non-existant.

@@khalidcloud4342 I don't think they meant to say that Pragg will immediately become the world champion, as that is obviously not possible. Does the board permanently bears the name of Anish, since he beats Magnus now😅

Notice how both agadmator and Gothamchess don't cover Wesley So games in Tata Steel? I mean besides Nodirbek and Anish, Wesley is the only other player currently ahead of Magnus. #suggestion

Praggs game is always interesting. Everyone knows that.

Prag is severely underrated .. even though Arjun and Gukesh is much higher in rating but Prag is anyday a stronger player than them in my opinion. He takes down Magnus frequently in rapid and now he took down another Goliath in classical. I am sure he make do the same with Magnus in classical one day.

Pragg isn't as consistent as the other 2 and those other guys beat him regularly.

Pragg is underrated that's for sure. But he is definitely not better than Gukesh or Arjun. Gukesh and Arjun are way more consistent than Pragg. I guess we need two three more years to know which youngster will leap frog.

Lol, not consistent check how many classical games he played in 2022,due champion chess tour he missed the open tournaments, check all the tournament where gukesh, pragg and Arjun played in classical, pragg either won those or finished above them.

@@akmd114379 when did they beat him regularly lol, I'm pretty sure it's been roughly equal perhaps even pragg winning more. Yes in the recent tata steel blitz portion in india, I think he had lost against them in the first set (and then in the 2nd set of blitz with opp colours it was draws I think but with blitz anything can happen and he had winning positions against them) before that in the final of CCT, pragg won a 4 game match against arjun. I think winning a match in rapid is far more impressive than winning a game in blitz. And I think the last classical game between gukesh and pragg was won by pragg. Even if some of the things I said is not perfectly correct, I am absolutely certain hes not beaten regularly by them.
