And I think this realization that he wasn’t just a “soulless monster” started when Bella saved him from the Volturi on the day of the parade, when he was gonna provoke them into killing him cuz he thought she’d died and couldn’t live without her.. cuz when she first got to him, he mumbled “heaven” implying that he believed he had basically gone to heaven and been reunited with Bella, which could only happen if he had a soul :,)

That's because at this point in the movies/books, he already knows about the supernatural. Jacob had revealed himself as a werewolf to Charlie, but Edward and Bella couldn't just outright tell him everything because of the Volturri. So of course he knows lol!

@@Druid75 Pretty much the reason as said above. Jacob revealed his secret to Charlie because Bella was not allowed to tell him anything about her situation. (I.e. Being pregnant with a vampire child.) Being a police officer, or any normal parent, Bella knew Charlie would know no bounds to search for her, this includes getting law enforcement involved. She obviously was racked with guilt at the thought of abandoning him. So Jacob, having his own motives for keeping her mortal, wanted her to be connected to her human life as much as possible for as long as possible. To allow Bella to communicate with Charlie, Jacob revealed HIS secret so that Charlie could indirectly understand why Bella was being kept away from him. So that she could see him, without risk of any more Volturri involvement. That's the main thing to understand, is the Volturri made it illegal to expose yourself to humans. They had no laws governing werewolves.

It was why he and Rosalie were so against her becoming a vampire, and in the book Edward tells Bella that he wishes Charlie's guess that Bella was pregnant was right, but when she is pregnant with his child he wants to get rid of the child! But as I have never been in love, at 36, I guess I can't understand the fear of losing the one you love.

No, Charlie is going to have be let in on the "secret" - he already knows Jacob's, so in time he will know all of it.

There's no international body dictating the shapeshifting secrecy, so knowing Jacob's secret is irrelevant. How they handle Charlie is left open-ended. He knows something is different about them, but can't be told the specifics because the Volturi will demand his conversion or death. I think they can continue to keep in touch with him, but he can't act like they're still visiting 30 years later and not aging a day. More than likely, the mom will have to be kept in the dark.

We are told that Tanya and her sisters have relationships with human men, so they need to hide that the don't feel the cold, and stories of people who don't feel the cold might reach the Volturi, who will klil them to hide their secrets. Twilight has a different take on Vampires. The sort of lost version that existed. Issue is day walkers take the fun out of a vampire story. Other issue brings a story arc uncommon to Vampire lore and thus like your noted irrelevant. Yes if cold enough any Vampire body will seize up. Cold enough literally starts breaking itself apart. Obviously it is not cold enough for that in this case
