Love your honesty. A lot of people would say no liver, no raw milk and so on. Putting us in fear. I thought about doing liver but read not to. I know they have raw milk that certified to be safe.
@DennisfromScratch2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Fear is the enemy of health. We would all be much healthier if we trusted God’s plan more. Regarding the liver during pregnancy, up until fairly recently, liver was a staple food for pregnancy. Here’s an easy to read summary of the scientific studies of eating liver while pregnant: www.aipro.info/drive/File/pdf.pdf Wish you all the best!

Is Westin Price foundation still promoting Green Pasture? Dr. Kaayla Daniel's lab testing showed Green Pasture CLO uses Alaskan pollock and their ratio of A/D is too high at 53:1. Whereas Standard Process is industrially manufactured with sunflower oil. Very challenging to find a good and affordable product.

Important vital information! Animal foods are amazing but its hard/expensive for many people to get it from quality sources, today even in Sweden most animals are fed an unnatural and unhealthy diet which Ofcourse creates unhealthy(er) meat. But people are waking up and the demand for high quality meat/food is rising! I think Weston a price is a real life hero! :) If Christian nations wanna get in to heaven they should spend more money on pregnant womens diets and less on war-machinery to kill and control the rest of the world. Just a farfetched thought😌 Where in the US are you from btw?

Thank you for your videos and taking the time to share such helpful information. Had you heard about Green Pastures oil being rancid? I used it in the past, but then I was informed about that. There are other great alternatives though. Also, did you do a video on what supplements your wife did take in addition to the diet? I’d like to check that out. Also with pickles, many of the “natural ones” have Polysorbate 80 and one other ingredient I can’t remember the name of at the moment, but would you still eat those? -Ruby

I just came from his prenatal video, so he has one. But, in that video, he did say that his wife ended up not taking prenatals in favor of eating these foods in this video. These foods allow mama to get the nutrients & vitamins naturally without the additives that are pretty much unavoidable with processed vitamins.
@henrygarcia81352 жыл бұрын
@@MollyMA13 thank you 🤗. In this video he mentions that his wife did supplement with some vitamins and nutrients in addition to the diet, so I was curious what they used. If you happen to stumble across that video please do share 😊.

@Molly Anderson, My wife did get most of her nutrition from the diet, but she had a few particular issues that she took some supplements for. Here’s a link to that video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZpnbY5lrfJmKgLc

I haven’t heard about the Green Pastures oil. I’ll have to look into that. Regarding the pickles, I would stay away from Polysorbate 80. The pickles and sauerkraut we like come from the brand Bubbies. If you can’t find good lacto-fermented vegetables for purchase, I would consider making your own. It’s not difficult when you get the hang of it! I don’t have a video on it yet, but Mary’s Nest is a good KZbinr for all things traditionally fermented: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6GUc614l7tpp9U

@@DennisfromScratch Definitely look into it :). Dropi is a good brand if you choose to switch. Also, cool remedy for bad diaper rash on babes is to wipe the area clean, wash the area, and then apply some liquid cod liver oil on the rash. Works every time! And thanks! I’ll check out Mary’s channel. -Ruby

We raise our own meat birds. I freeze dried the livers with garlic and powdered them and put them in pills. However now I’m reading beef liver is the only way to go. Is this true??
@DennisfromScratch2 ай бұрын
Chicken liver and beef liver have different ratios of vitamins and minerals, but both are super healthy! Especially if you are raising your own chickens, I wouldn’t stress about it for a minute. Just make sure you’re also eating some red meat or lots of fresh milk!

Dos the yolk has to be raw? If you can put them in smoothies
@DennisfromScratch Жыл бұрын
From a texture point yes, but from a nutrition point no. There is not going to be much of a nutritional difference between a raw egg yolk and a lightly cooked egg yolk. But it will affect the texture so just play around with the smoothies textures until you find what you like.

What about canned Sardines for seafood? What are your thoughts?
@DennisfromScratch3 жыл бұрын
Really good question! Sardines are small fish and therefore have generally low mercury pollution build up. It’s also a bonus that you’re eating basically the whole fish so there’s more nutrient diversity! However, a lot of canned fish has additives in it-so make sure to read the ingredients. I would also be looking for “wild caught” sardines since farmed fish is often nutrient deficient and polluted. Lastly, the canning process itself isn’t ideal. So it would be best to eat some from fish from time to time as well. Hope that helps!

I wish I found you earlier! Can you be my dietician :D thnks! also.... is it safe to have vitamin D? if so what's the best kind? i live in the uk we don't have any sun :(
@DennisfromScratch2 жыл бұрын
Sorry, your comment got off my radar! Even lab-formulated vitamin D supplements usually won’t really have negative effects, but whole food vitamin D supplements (particularly animal derived forms) will be the most absorbable. Vitamin D is one of the “fat-soluble” vitamins, so getting it in it’s natural fat carriers (like lard, milk, butter, coconut oil, liver, etc.) is what I recommend.

Hi. What if I can't tolerate milk? I can do butter but milk is no for me. I have tried raw milk but it has the same effects - bloating, headaches, stomach pains.
@DennisfromScratch3 жыл бұрын
Butter is awesome! But milk does have some additional nutrients that aren’t in butter. A lot of people find they can tolerate goat milk better than cow milk; when I was younger that’s what I had to do. Just make sure that it’s fresh, otherwise the taste is a little weird. Another option would be to buy good quality yogurt or kefir… or make it yourself. When milk is cultured, it becomes even easier to digest and usually clears up any intolerances or adverse reactions.

@@DennisfromScratch Thank you. I found some goat milk yogurt and you're right it has a strong taste, but I add honey to it. No side effects so far :)

Excellent info, what teas and tea brands do you recommend for pregnant women? I just need something to kickstart my day. I’m a fanatic Italian espresso drinker and now I must stop, not looking forward to tea but I need something
@DennisfromScratch2 жыл бұрын
We usually go for “Traditional Medicinals” as they have high quality, chemical-free herbal teas; and they are found in a lot of stores. I like anything peppermint. My wife usually goes for dandelion root (good for robust health) or raspberry leaf (good for pregnancy). We will also sometimes drink a cup of coffee as a special treat after Church on Sundays! You may also want to try drinking a cup of hot broth in the mornings instead. We try to start our day with a cup of homemade chicken broth. It’s delicious, warm, nutritious, and really good for pregnancy and overall mood balancing! Drinking good broth daily is actually super helpful in regulating dopamine levels, especially while trying to break habits and addictions. Good luck!

Would recommend that you put a disclaimer that people should still consult their physician on appropriate foods. Some people may be at higher risk of preeclampsia, diabetes or hypertension and some of these foods would not be recommended
@DennisfromScratch Жыл бұрын
That’s the point. Why would these foods be “recommended” by people who make their money from selling you drugs because you don’t eat well? You are complicit in spreading lies when you insinuate that these foods would increase the chance of pregnancy complications. The exact opposite is true. Eat well, feel well. Eat poorly, need drugs.

One thing that may help is to consume extra probiotic rich foods like fermented sauerkraut, pickles, and raw milk. The probiotics will help your body effectively digest any foods that might otherwise be taxing. I personally find that drinking raw milk or fermented pickle juice calms my stomach and makes it feel much lighter after a heavy meal.
