I had a Reverend Slingshot Custom a long while ago, back when they still made them out of phenolic resin. Three P90's switched Strat style. I regret selling it.

I'd love to try one of these someday. Haven't had a chance to yet, but I did install this pickup system in a Warmoth Tele build, and i couldn't be happier with it. It sounds fantastic.

The fact that the "wood makes no difference" crowd is made up of people who literally can't tell the difference (physically or audibly) really says quite a bit about them, and it's not painting a pretty picture as far as overall-competence goes... Different woods are gonna resonate in different ways. Even if you can't hear the difference outright, it's gonna change how you play, and *that* makes for an obvious difference in tonality.

The Reverend GristleMaster is the best T style guitar ever. I've owned many guitars and played literally thousands. And the fishman gristletone pups are amazing!!!. To the point I'm replacing all my pups in all my others! great product!!!! And Greg is one of the most awesome guitarists of all time.

Korina word is African black Limba wood. Some earlier reverend guitars are made from mahogany, those are supposedly quite good and worth picking up.

You do need to unplug the fishman pickup "amplified" or the battery is being drained on my Fender Acoustasonic . So unplug after play..

cool guitar. does the battery drain if you leave it plugged in? also, can you charge the battery while you're playing in case of an emergency? Love your playing. rock on.

Question 1- Yes, it does. Question 2- No. It's in an assembly under the plate. But, as they pointed out in the video, it's a 300 hour battery. and there's a tiny light on the jackplate that flashes if the battery's getting low. It doesn't take long to recharge, either. I put one of these systems in a Warmoth Tele build and I absolutely love it. Highly, highly recommended. The only negative is that it doesn't make you play like Greg.

I can't stand G.K.'s talking'roaring, that's just personal, i am not attacking anyone: everyone is different, nobody is perfect and everyone has good qualities (in different quantities, qualities and at different times ;) ), but, i should say,... But his playing is just Great and This guitar is just unbelievable, it sounds so juicy and i think one can get 1000's of sounds from this 3-way switch; it looks friendly, simple and uplifting, too. Yes, treble bleed is a good "fink".

Go look up the pickups and you'll see what he is taking about. The neck pickup surround is specific to this guitar, but the pickups themselves look like any other tele pickups once installed
