This mod revived this platform, im hunting a 4.3 2023 brz diff to do a budget drift build, literally anything manual and rear wheel drive local to me is junk gennys and BMWs for 10k with dumb high miles, 350/370z aren't going below 12k now, and BRZs are still strong at 15-20k

ive done this y38 frs diff swap on my 2008 Toyota Mark X grx120 2.5 it was soo much fun while driving acceleration was improved by much

i did the swap in my is300 along with the diff bushing. i dropped the subframe and also swapped my subframe bushings

Does that fit the 3rd Gen GS ? saw some russian guys using the supra diff, just had to cut open the housing a little bit, wonder if this also works with the same method

Already have a factory Torsen in my IS300 but potentially interested in this as it’s a lower ratio I believe, do you know how much lower? And if it throws the speedometer out? I’m guessing it’s lighter and not as strong as the original, but probably strong enough.

This is 4.1. If yours is auto is300, it’s 3.9. Automatic uses ABS sensors for speed so won’t be an issue. If you have manual, different story.

Ok so I have an auto 08 is250. If I want to do this what do I need and how will it affect the car?

It bolts on. Will give better off line acceleration but lose top speed and higher rpm on highway so less gas mileage for highway.

Not sure what the FA24 is. But the torsion from IS300 and BRZ/FRS all fit is250

The newer BRZ uses a 4.3 I believe. Same housing.

No it will work. Gearing for auto will be 3.9 up to 4.1 with this. Manual is 3.73 so it’s a big jump and will lost topspeed and gas mileage.
