Wonderful! Thank you for sharing. The temple has been the greatest blessing in my life not only because going there has helped me to know and hear the Savior better and blessed me in performing ordinances for my ancestors and coming to know them better but also that all of this makes it worth all the trials and struggles we go through in this life and what may lie ahead before the return of Jesus Christ. We need the strength attending the temple will give us to make it through. ❤

After house arrest charged with murder that was self defense. Went through the high council and they said it was justified and that no member rights are taken. And 1 year later on that trial i finally am going to the temple august 19-22nd to the temple to do endowments for my wife and then we can get sealed

Break this yoke of bondage off, O Lord, break it off! D and C 109: 17-19 ALMA 37: 36-38 PSALM 37: 3-7 D and C 109: 32-33, 46-47 17 That all the incomings of thy people, into this house, may be in the name of the Lord; 18 That all their outgoings from this house may be in the name of the Lord; 19 And that all their salutations may be in the name of the Lord, with holy hands, uplifted to the Most High; ALMA 37:36-38 36 Yea, and cry unto God for all thy support; yea, let all thy doings be unto the Lord, and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord; yea, let all thy thoughts be directed unto the Lord; yea, let the affections of thy heart be placed upon the Lord forever. 37 Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day. 38 And now, my son, I have somewhat to say concerning the thing which our fathers call a ball, or director-or our fathers called it Liahona, which is, being interpreted, a compass; and the Lord prepared it. PSALM 37: 3-7 (page 737 of Bible) 3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4 Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. 6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. 7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 32 Therefore we plead before thee for a full and complete deliverance from under this yoke; 33 Break it off, O Lord; break it off from the necks of thy servants, by thy power, that we may rise up in the midst of this generation and do thy work. 44 But thy word must be fulfilled. Help thy servants to say, with thy grace assisting them: Thy will be done, O Lord, and not ours. 45 We know that thou hast spoken by the mouth of thy prophets terrible things concerning the wicked, in the last days-that thou wilt pour out thy judgments, without measure; 46 Therefore, O Lord, deliver thy people from the calamity of the wicked; enable thy servants to seal up the law, and bind up the testimony, that they may be prepared against the day of burning. 47 We ask thee, Holy Father, to remember those who have been driven by the inhabitants of Jackson county, Missouri, from the lands of their inheritance, and break off, O Lord, this yoke of affliction that has been put upon them. Are we to “march around Jerhico 7 times”?

Through the Spirit, we are taught important life-changing lessons, helping us grow closer to God and navigate life’s challenges with greater faith and purpose. Section 109 should be studied again and again by every member of the Church, as invited by our living prophet, President Nelson.

Why did Christ tear the veil of the Temple then? 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. John 4:14 Christ freely offered his love and sacrifice. The Corporation of the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (The full legal name of the church) built granite walls around the well, charge admission, and forbid you from finding salvation with Christ directly and outside their priestcraft. “Are you temple worthy?” and, “are you keeping your covenants?” are just euphemisms for, “are you current on your club dues?”
@TheWordsofChrist4 ай бұрын
Christ's love and sacrifice are offered to us with great depth and purpose, and He invites us to show our devotion through obedience to His commandments. While He willingly sacrificed His life for us, it's important to understand that this sacrifice is not the same as a promise of unconditional acceptance without effort on our part. When we earnestly seek to follow His commandments and ask for His help, we are blessed with the strength and wisdom to live in accordance with His will. It is important to approach teachings with discernment. Be cautious of those who suggest that all will be forgiven regardless of our actions, particularly when financial gain is involved. I encourage you to reflect on the questions you have and seek answers with sincerity, as doing so will help you understand your personal relationship with the Lord. As for why the Lord tore the veil of the temple .... The tearing of the temple veil at the moment of Jesus Christ’s death is a profound event. Old Covenant vs. New Covenant: Old Covenant: In the Old Testament, the covenant between God and Israel was based on the Law of Moses. This covenant included strict laws and ordinances to guide the people in their worship and daily lives. Central to this covenant was the temple, where sacrifices were made to atone for sins. The temple had two main sections: the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies. The veil was a thick curtain that separated these two areas. The Holy of Holies was considered the most sacred space, where the presence of God (often symbolized by the Ark of the Covenant) dwelled. Only the high priest could enter this inner sanctum, and only once a year on the Day of Atonement. New Covenant: The new covenant, established by Jesus Christ, emphasizes grace, forgiveness, and a direct relationship with God through Christ's Atonement. This new covenant fulfills and supersedes the old covenant. With Christ's death and resurrection, the need for animal sacrifices and the old system of temple worship was completed and replaced by a new understanding of atonement and divine relationship. This new understanding involves personal sacrifice and the willingness to dedicate one's heart and mind to the will of God. There’s a lot more to explore on this topic, and I encourage you to research it further to gain a deeper understanding.

@@TheWordsofChrist Never said there is, “unconditional acceptance,” or, “all will be forgiven.” Good is good and wrong is wrong on an eternal level, not because any man says so. We are punished by our sins, not for them. Oddly enough I’ve never met this person who gains financially from saying, “all’s well.” I’ve seen many corporations and churches who say, “pay tithing or be damned.” Thank you for your insights on the Old Covenant and New Covenant. Didn’t see where Christ required a new building, veil, and 10% of income in the New Covenant though. Lots of broken hearts and contrite spirits, but no temples with limited access and admission fees. Could you point me to where that’s described in the New Covenant?
@TheWordsofChrist4 ай бұрын
The concept of tithing, or giving a tenth of one's income or produce to God, is mentioned in several places in the Bible. Here are some key verses: Genesis 14:19-20: Leviticus 27:30: Numbers 18:21: Deuteronomy 14:22: Malachi 3:10: Matthew 23:23: Luke 11:42: Hebrews 7:1-2: It seems to me that you might already have a sense of what is true, which could be why you're engaging in this discussion today. My goal here is to help people come closer to Christ, and that includes you. I’m offering my time and insights out of genuine concern, without any personal gain. Please understand that my motives are sincere. Time is precious, and the Lord desires a relationship with you, including inviting you to be part of His holy house the temple.

@@TheWordsofChrist thank you for living and loving as Christ. I wish the Corporation of the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints would do the same. Giving a list of priestcraft throughout scripture isn’t an argument against priestcraft. It is useful to see how long and often the con has been pulled though. Thank you. And I have never felt closer to Christ than I do now.

Since you read your scriptures, you're likely aware that these are the prophesied times of testing in the last days. As President Nelson has often emphasized, navigating this period effectively requires the constant guidance of the Holy Spirit. The following scripture comes to mind. Matthew 24:24 "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." Keep the faith and remember that the things you see and feel must always be placed in the proper context. The scriptures and sincere prayer will provide the guidance from the Holy Spirit we each need, as long as we heed the direction we receive.
