I'm not sure what "no child left behind" has to do with it.. but I think that varies from state to state. I live in Illinois. My children's school did not hesitate to fail or hold back a student if they've failed. Certainly weren't getting their high school diploma/ graduate without the required credits. ("super senior" is what the kids called the students that took longer than 4yrs to graduate -- grade 9-12) Grade K-8 -‐-- if they fail something, then they have to repeat it, plus (recommendation) for summer school. Anyways.. Have a fabulous night! Best wishes ❤

This as a movie fan especially of horror films is where it gets tricky of when you should allow your kids to watch horror movies. Kids brains are not wired to be able to take in such horror, gore, blood, and violence at such a young age. I even as a kid watched some horror but parents knew when to turn it off or when I was done etc. This ultimately comes down to the person who commits the terrible crime. If I ever have kids I'm not letting them watch horror movies until at least 15-16 these kids watched them at earlier ages and then it influenced them at the teenager age.

what is consumed visually should be regulated as well, when it pertains to murder and killing. Visualizations of anything actually have an impact on our psyches.

Look at how the dad is comforting him while he is describing how his friend killed her. These parents are responsible. 🤮

I can't imagine what Cassie went through when she was being killed. Cassie didn't deserve what she got, she had her whole life ahead of her.

So sorry a young innocent girl died like this. How did the parents raise those killers to have no conscience?

its crazy how both boys turned on each other on a dime and how Draper all of a sudden had a bad stutter when he spoke to detectives

Anytime someone makes a video about Cassie's murder, I watch. It's hard to believe I went to school with such evil. I remember all of it, watching the news, scared of what was happening. Still think about it often 18 years later. Rip Cassie. You're absolutely beautiful.

I was wondering the exact same thing , its definitely weird. No it wasnt trauma, trauma doesn't make you forget its your neice lying there in a pool of blood and not just some girl lying there like she said on the 911 call. Very very odd indeed.

Especially with her long dark hair, supposed to be there house/dog sitting... My only take is that she thought that's what you do on calls.. like no specifics..? I'd be screaming my head off!

I'm not a detective but watching the video..... I would question Draper's story. In his police interview, he's stuttering, he's nervous, he maybe acting perfectly but in the video that he is speaking calmly, happily, actually creepily about killing a "friend" while apologizing to her family before the crime even happens. That's just...... I don't even know how to describe that.

That video is so damning. The part beforehand is bad enough, but the part after the murder clinches it.

This was horrific. That lawyer that spoke is just as bad. Trying to get that psycho a lesser sentence than the other one. I loathe lawyers. Cassie’s bf Matt would have been murdered too, had his mum not made him go home. I wish Cassie had taken her up on her offer to stay the night at Matt’s place
