@pak8606 over the end credits in the YTV region’s play out of this episode the announcer Graham Roberts said “Well there’s some time off for good behaviour next week as Prisoner Cell Block H returns in two weeks time.”

@@jackmeadows7777 I've heard YTV sometimes said that and they often had 2/3 week breaks between episodes when they had one a week. In the credits over the last episode of the year, would the ITV regions' announcers have mentioned the return date in the new year?

@pak8606 I don’t remember YTV saying anything at the end of 1989,90 or 91 about their four week gaps at the end of episode. Tyne Tees would never ever speak over the end and you would have no idea when the next episode would be on. During the rest of the year when you heard the YTV announcer start to talk over the credits you knew bad news was coming along the lines of “Back in two / three weeks” Not sure what other regions did. Granada seemed to give the time of the next episode especially at the end of their Sun episodes in 88/89.

@@jackmeadows7777 During the end credits just before the copyright captions STV always brought up the next episode date and time. I have seen a few on KZbin, and they did the same for ACP and SAD I believe too I saw the end of a Sunday episode on Granada in Nov 1991 and they mentioned the time of the Monday night episode. On 17/07/1989 were you in YTV land or Granadaland when both regions aired episode 157?
