It's 2024, and I understand a video that was made 7 years ago better than what my lecturer taught in class. Thank you so much for this, I really appreciate.

I spent many hours attending a refresher course and been watching lecture videos to understand this subject but none of them could really explain as clear and as simple as you did. You are a gifted Professor/Teacher as YOU ARE TRULY A DOCTOR (Ph.D.)! You can simplify a difficult topic into something easy to understand by students. I am a graduate in Electrical Engineering and preparing to take my FE Exam. I am thankful to GOD for you Professor and the people who uploaded this lecture video. More power to you. God bless you, Professor Kathleen and your family. I pray that there will be more teachers like you.

Thanks a lot, Kathleen. All videos I have watched until now they teached me the other way, I mean, to draw each graph, shift, multiply and sum, which was really difficulty to do in a short time. Now it´s much easier using the properties you described in here. Best regards.

None so far before and after you have elucidated this well. Moreover they bring into play unit step functions which are easier to digest, yet doesn't give a more analytical approach i.e. analysing with intervals.

Nice explonation but let's see the problem with this method that you are using. This convolution is called the "sample-by-sample" one, which is good when the input and impulsive response don't have too many samples, otherwise it's a long process and should probably be done with other methods. Also let's say you have, for example, an input of x[n]=u[n]*2^n. This means that convolution will exist till infinity and this method can't be applied there (imo)
