Because we've never gotten anything better despite all these years. So here's my question: how do you rate the driving physics of RBR vs WRC? Can WRC be described as a simulation or is it still a simcade like DR 2.0? I will be grateful for your opinion. Regards.

Thank you so much, @LukaszRogowiczYamaortodks! I totally get where you're coming from. WRC, in my opinion, is an improvement over DR2.0 in terms of fun and experience. However, RBR still holds its ground as superior in almost every aspect. While I think WRC is worth the investment for its unique offerings, if you're strictly looking for a hardcore simulation experience, sticking with RBR might be the best choice for you. 🙂

Well, I'm afraid that I will buy WRC, play for an hour and then not turn it on again because it will not be satisfactory 🤷 I've been wondering for years if we'll ever get something that even compares to RBR! And I'm even more afraid that it will never happen again!!! Well, the market is currently based mainly on console players, and the vast majority of them play on pads. So creating stimulation is pointless according to the developers 🤷 And although racing still has quite a large fan base, rallies are not interesting to many people. This is a niche market and hence the situation 🤷

@@ProjectSimRacing Well, in Poland, 20 years ago there were crowds of people on special stages, even at local rallies. And now it's generally very empty. Only the Polish Rally, when it was a qualifying round for the world championship, there were a lot of people. Next year it will again be one of the qualifying rounds of the world championships, so perhaps large crowds of fans will appear again. But at local rallies the routes are empty 😪 The problem is that young people are not really interested in anything these days and while there are fans on the routes, they are old horses like me who remember and watched cars in action live, such as the unforgettable Sierra 🤗

I'm hopeful that with events like the Polish Rally being a part of the world championship qualifiers again, we'll see a resurgence in fan interest, especially among the younger crowd. WRC is made by the same people at Codemasters who made DR2, and I really enjoyed DR2. I think WRC is an improvement over DR2, even though it currently has a lot of bugs. Yes, I have tried it, but it's not really for me because I get motion sickness. 😄 Both systems have their pros and cons. VR is a bit more immersive, while triple screens allow you to interact with your button boxes and everything else without any problem. But for me, triple screens are the way to go for now.

Merci beaucoup ! J'utilise en fait les réglages recommandés par Fanalabs pour DiRT Rally 2.0 et les réglages par défaut dans le jeu avec le soft-lock activé. Ajustez simplement le ffb à ce qui vous convient (je choisis généralement 70 %) et vous êtes prêt à jouer 🙂

No bother at all! I would say that it depends on how often you change wheels. For me, it was 100% worth the upgrade. But if you only change wheels a couple of times per week, then I would say that money is better spent on some other gear. 🙂✌️

​​​@@ProjectSimRacingwhat's your system specs, I mean BeamNG does require a decent setup but can run on lower end hardware with a few cuts, but I doubt you have a potato spec PC. My system is an AMD 3700x, 32GB Ram, 1660 super, it can run BeamNG @ 1080p 110 fps unlocked with most graphical settings set to the highest possible (the one thing I can't really crank up is the dynamic reflections as that really tanks performance ).

@@ProjectSimRacing yeah that's odd, your system (especially the GPU side of things) makes my system look like a potato. @1080p I get 110 FPS with a single car, I can maintain 60-70 fps with around 14 AI cars, @ 1440p I get around 75 fps with a single car, and around 55-60 FPS with 14 cars (4k is out of the question). and pretty similar performance in BeamMP with the same amount of cars on the server. Your system should be taking all that in stride and then some. What exactly is it doing? Is it crashing, low framerate, stuttering or what, because BeamNG shouldn't be have any kind of performance issues with a setup like that. I know you probably have but have you verified the game files for BeamNG from within steam? because if its only BeamNG being effected it can't be something like a driver issue, or something external like that. It has to be something within BeamNG itself. Has the dynamic reflections been cranked up without you realizing it or something (I don't know how much of a toll maxed out dynamic reflections would take even in a 4090).

@madmax2069, yeah I know... I get low fps with lots of stuttering. I've already checked the files and reinstalled the game a couple of times for good measure 😝. It really feels like there is a driver issue or something else that I'm missing. It feels like I've tried everything since I really want to make more than one video with BeamNG. Big problem with Fanatec pedals and EAwrc…i am driving with a thrustmaster t300 and Fanatec v3 pedals.. with pedals plugged in I have 84fps when I unplug them I get 163fps when I stand on a track in EA WRC. the pedals are plugged in via usb and can't connect them in another way. I see some reportage about it on EA and they do nothing about it

@@ProjectSimRacing i really hope they fix it.. really frustrating i did update rigg with new monitor and some other stuff just too be ready for EA wrc.. took some time too figure it out why the fps was stuck on 83fps… spent many hours trying everything with settings ingame and in computer… it did not matter if i used ultra or Low graphics setting still 83fps lol.. so EA and Fanatec should fix the problem.. i am not the only one with this problem thinking thats many that does not now about this and have Low FPS when playing..thanks for taking your time and answer, really like your driving videos👍 you have Colin McRae driving style💪

@devonsmillie, I hope you're ready for this 😝🤣! For Assetto Corsa, I also stick with Fanalabs recommended settings and default in-game settings with soft-lock. The key difference is that I tweak the force feedback (FFB) in-game for each car in AC, tailored to the specific vehicle I'm driving. For WRC cars, I adjust the FFB in Fanalab, usually setting it between 60 to 80%😊

In modern rally cars with a sequential gearbox, a clutch pedal isn't usually required for shifting gears while driving. The clutch might be present for starting from a standstill, but once the car is in motion, gear changes are done simply by using the sequential shifter. This allows for rapid, efficient shifts without the need to engage a traditional clutch pedal, which is essential for the quick response needed in rally racing

I've had it for two years now, and I love it! And yes, 8NM is more then enough most of the times. It's only when I drive GT3 cars in ACC or trucks in ETS2 /ATS that I feel I would love to have a bit more. Also, make sure to check Fanatec's ready to race bundles. You might find a CSL DD 8NM with a wheel that you want for a very good price.
