I think there will always be the temptation to be my own god. But, now I know just how much that doesn’t work in the end. Trying to micromanage others in my life even if it’s for their “good” is trying to be god. Lord, show me. Lord, teach me. Lord, help me to let You Be Sovereign in my life and circumstances

The “miracle of the manna” isn’t enough to keep my eyes on God. It’s got to be a daily reliance on Him knowing that He’s with me and He’s got me. Our flesh is incurable.

Hi there. If anyone from Lysa's team reads these comments, I have a question that probably seems trite but I'm wondering if I'm just not reading the names correctly. In 2 Kings 11:1-2 it says that Jehoash is the son of Ahaziah but in 2 Kings 12:1, it says his Mom's name is Zibiah of Beersheba. Could someone help me with this? Thanks.

In 2 Kings 11:1-2 it identifies Ahaziah (King of Judah) as Joash’s father-as far as I can see his mother is not mentioned. His mother is first mentioned in 2 Kings 12:1 I hope this helps!!
