PS5 Dual Sense Edge Controller Not Pairing or Connecting to a PS5 Console? FIXED!

if it doesn’t work , here’s what i did , first use a ps4 controller to connect to your ps5 if you still have it , go to setting > accessories > general > and bluetooth accessories. once you did that delete all connected controls besides the one you are connected too, then hold the ps button and picture button on the ps5 controller and it should pop and ask you to connect and bam

I tried for 30 min everything I could find on the internet to try and get my controller to connect I was using a usb to usb c cord as soon as I used the original usb c to usb c it connected and worked so if anyone that is also struggling and nothing else is working make sure your using the cord that came with your ps5 ! It worked for me atleast I hope this helps someone!

Unfortunately, this didnt work for me. What I had to do was connect a keyboard to my playstation and use that to navigate to the accessories tab. Go to controller settings and with your controller plugged in, switch the communication method to wired and turn the controller on. If it connects, then use the controller to switch the method back to bluetooth. This will turn the controller off. Turn the controller back on and then it should reconnect through bluetooth like normal. I hope this helps someone.

The advice for a different cable is golden! The only thing that worked for two controllers for me. Tried resetting, making sure they were charged, ect. New cable BAM it worked, For both!

Guys it worked for me by doing my way. Leave console on. Reset controller and leave off. Turn off ps5 completely on hen press ps5 controller button to power on you should hear it brep

i didnt press the small button on back all i did was connect the controller then turned off the ps5 manually as he did it. Turned it back on with controller and it worked. Try this before pressing that button just in case yk

Anyone who can't fix this problem, go into your settings, accessories - advanced settings & turn off Bluetooth (you'll need to use your controller using USB but its better than nothing)

Held down the power button for about 15 seconds .. the next step after the second beep and then for some reason when I pressed the ps button on the controller, it switched on the PS5 as if there was no problem. The console initiated the repair screen then complained about not being turned off properly but hey.. that worked

Another fix: REQUIRED: Second PS4/PS5 controller that’s connected. STEPS: First log in with the already connected controller then go to settings->accessories, then delete the connections to the other device you want to connect. Next on the controller you want to connect, hold down the PS button and SHARE button at the same time. This will put your controller into “Pairing Mode”, and then you should be able to connect the controller using the other one under the devices that are connectable. Pairing Mode also works for things like connecting the controller to a laptop or phone.

The issue l had was that certain usb cables that fit the slots but wouldn’t connect. I’m guessing it has to be a USB-C cable to connect, which eventually worked.

if none of these work for you turn ur ps5 off and unplug the controller from usb then unplug ps5 for about 15 seconds plug it back in then plug the usb back into the controller and turn it on with the controller this worked for me
