The one thing that most prevents women from having the relationships they want with the men they want to have them with is pride. In this episode, I discuss three ways in which this pride tends to manifest in the game of mating and dating: in misappraising their value, in disparaging male attraction, and in deprecating the domestic. For women, humility is the pathway to more satisfying relationships with men. I find your language at the end very interesting since 1) I'm an INTJ and it's how i talk 2) the Bible doesn't shy away from "use" language, eg in Romans 1 it calls gayness "abandoning the natural use of the woman," and whereas sex is clearly the face value meaning, i think it goes beyond that. Everybody is either used, abused, or refused. All that "use" means is someone does something to you or requires you to do something for them that is a benefit for them. That's it. That covers such things as giving surprise gifts all the way to slavery. When it's abuse is when something is done that is exploitative (harms or gives no commensurate benefit to the person being used). That's why radfems react to masculine and feminine relationships as abusive because they've equated all use with abuse, probably because of the sincere realization that the same exact action can be use and abuse, but failing to realize that it's the context that determines it and not what the action itself is.
@michaeljeffery7466 Жыл бұрын
Imo women's second greatest enemy is vanity. They're never aware of their own flaws or accepting of criticism because they can't see it & nobody ever tells them so they assume nothing's wrong. Vanity & *Ego* .
@cosmictreason2242 Жыл бұрын
@@michaeljeffery7466as defined, that's actually pride. Vanity is "meaninglessness," So when the third commandment says "thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain," it actually means it's a sin to treat God as if he doesn't matter, and that means the scope of the command is WAY broader than people realize. When Nancy Pelosi pretends to be catholic, she's violating this command (even despite the fact that the RCC is apostate). Anyway, hope this was useful. It can never hurt for us to try to be more precise with language. Now there's a word "vainglory," which basically means glorifying yourself vainly (treating yourself as if something good is true of you when it is not), and that fits what you were saying i think. So you can call them vainglorious or puffed up or self important. Pride is thinking more highly of yourself than you ought. There's therefore always a sense in which vanity, the original definition, is attached to pride, but the emphasis is still pride. Someone could be very seemingly humble but still vain, and a great example of this might be Dave Rubin

I wouldn't worry about that too much. Women have 2 types of friendships/relationships. They can (rarely) have real friends, who, just like your friends, call you out on your BS when you say something stupid, but don't hate you. Then there is what you just described. Those are female support groups. The purpose of those groups is not to make each other better, but to make each other FEEL better. And there is a stark difference between the two. Sometimes the truth hurts, but the truth will set you free. Free from living a lie that is. Most women dabble with one or more female support groups without realizing it. I have seen very few situations where women have actual, real friends that don't try and compete with them, or put them down. The female support group engages not only in emotional support activities, but also to keep women down. For example, if you ever notice it in real life (you will after reading this), women cheer the loudest and the hardest for the obese and ugly women calling themselves empowered. The reason they do this, is to keep those women down, preventing them from becoming competition. If those cheering women were to keep it real, and give those fat and ugly women the truth, they could become more pretty and amazing then themselves and take mr. Handsome away from them. The reason women engage in this behavior is [1] women have evolved to manipulate (not men!), and [2] they compete with other women. There are two ways you can compete: one is by being better then your competition by being smarter, more attractive, more attentive to mens needs and desires... And then there is option two, lowering everybody else around you, making you look like the better deal. And the latter is the reason women clap and cheer the loudest for the fat and ugly/stupid chicks. That is why you observe the behavior you described (and also emotional support, because feelings are more important then facts for them). Don't feel sorry for women, feel sorry for yourself putting up with this nonsense and improve yourself so that you don't have to deal with them and get better. Also, happy new year and take care.

The problem of pride invades committed relationships, so men do not be confused it isn’t just the pre-marital sexual marketplace. You can be pulling down four times the median income, enable a stay at home mother lifestyle, have a successful career, and STILL expect that your wife will one, be repulsed by your sexual interest, seeing it as childish and petty, two, feel abused if you are not doing half the housework and childcare in addition to paying for everything, and three, feel like she is superior to you for her deigning to descend to being married to you. I would love to share this content with my wife but I would have to be fully prepared for the consequences if I did. Why? Pride.

You're not wrong in your psychological understanding, but it's also part of why women don't deserve their own freedom. That's NOT how a relationship works, never has been, never will be. The world was better off when women's fathers chose their husband, as women are incapable of doing it themselves on a functioning metric. We pursued one another, inviting each other to lunches after class or group activities. We’re almost 13 years together with two young sons. I look at my girlfriends in their 30s and think…yikes. You’re past your sell by date by a decade. Girls, don’t waste your time, your looks, or your best reproductive years. You can get an education, have a career, AND be a wife. The only thing I’d say is once kids come along, you put your career on hold and focus on them as much as you and your husband can afford financially. I’m very fortunate that we can afford for me to be a stay at home mom. That means my job is caring for kids and household. And that means doing everything I can to put in equal effort at my job as my husband puts into his. The worst thing we can push into our marriages is resentment. This is why women and politicians fight so hard against legalized and lightly regulated prostitution. They’re afraid if men can pay for fast easy sex with a beautiful pleasant woman we’ll stop being their workhorses. Why bother breaking our backs to pay for the fancy car, nice house, expensive dates, and tailored suits?! None of that would make sense when you could sleep with a 10/10 woman that treats us nicely for what we get paid for one hour (or less) of labor.

Orion, please make a video on how to psychologically overcome the fact that any given woman you’re potentially seeing has access to such a bizarre amount of options. I struggle with it and I’ve seen that a lot of other men do too. Seeing her inbox full with dozens of men validating her or 30 missed calls from men on her phone is highly disconcerting.
@hdhellion4128 Жыл бұрын
I'll 2nd this. Women have WAY more options. I just had a discussion with my gf about this. She thinks I have women constantly in my dms/inbox trying to flirt with me. That's happened in my 42.5 years of my life, maybe 5 times. She calls me naive. I told her I'm flattered that she thinks that. I've never had that luck. Facts: not the greatest looking, tallest, or muscular guy. So I have some tough cards dealt. She on the other hand can post a picture of her feet and they'll be 10 guys that are ready to pay to suck her toes...

Brilliant. The frustration in the good doctor's voice is palpable. The difference between now and then is that social media, ability to stand solo financially, feminism, and pop culture have drilled into women's minds that *they* are the prize and they won't budge; as long as a woman retains her beauty, this stance will not deviate because a woman will *never, ever* swallow her pride in pursuit of what she wants (even if she *knows* deep down inside that she'll likely never find it). Of course this egomaniacal game ends when a woman hits the proverbial "wall". And that's how this game works, ladies and gentlemen. I don't see a ring on the good doctor's finger so I guess he is also single like me (52m never married) and developed the topic of this episode as a way to "backhand" women for their egomaniacal nature. LOL. Well done, doc!

Good job pointing out that throughout history, humans have been primarily homosocial. Our ancestors would find it extremely peculiar, if not downright deviant, how much time men are expected to spend interacting with women in general and their women in particular these days. They would regard it as a sign of male weakness and poor moral fiber. And you’re absolutely right about women historically doing the pursuing. That’s why women were actively taught how to flirt and sent to finishing schools to learn the fine art of being graceful. Even in movies from the ‘80s like _Footloose,_ which was inspired by events from early 1980, you see girls going to great lengths to lock down men, who are dragged kicking and screaming into relationships, and they’re using their sexual allure as bait. In regard to your final point, not only do decorations do nothing, but they get put in storage when the season changes - or thrown out with shifts in fashion and taste.

Even when I’m about to go get the basket and start on my own laundry… she’s like, “it’s already done”. Lol. I lucked out with her. In between her and my ex wife, I had a millennial girlfriend in New Zealand who did my laundry when I visited her there…. as soon as I was off the plane, she was already organizing my socks lol.
