Jeff, you know, I was never impressed am with the way Pub Battles handled small battles. I mean, it's alright, but I think the system really comes into its own with the way the chit draw mechanic breaks down huge battles like Gettysburg and Waterloo into relatively quick play affairs.

I think I agree. It's great for big battles, but not smaller. Perhaps the variation used for Little Bighorn would have been better. I think it would work for something like Cowpens or Guilford Courthouse, for example.
