I have worked in the finance industry for about 7 years and believe it or not there are many older adults who do not understand interest rates AT ALL! This is more common than most people think. Many people are not financially savvy and they enter into financing agreements without understanding what they’re signing. I hope he was able to learn from this situation.
@eLLeBelle2484 Жыл бұрын
I agree. I work in the mortgage industry and this is SO true! You’d be surprised how many people don’t refinance and get money they need for repairs or medical bills bc they say their interest rate is 3%. Well, that’s good and all, but that was also when you bought the home @ $500k. You only owe $125k & I can get you 5%. They hear the 5% and get scared not realizing 5% on say $150k ($20k in hand) & 5% on $500k are very different. The 5% is excellent in today’s market. Yet, they don’t understand & refuse to listen to how the number break down 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏾♀️
