For anybody slamming Mackey for doing meditation or getting his mental health in check is in denial, even if Mackey is only asking for 2 first round picks for JJ or a first round from jaguars. Like Judd said, the most overrated thing is caring for what people think of you. So don’t mind us mackey. Get your mental health in check and screw the people are too macho to ask for help.

********** If any of you watched the Draft video ? You can Plainly hear Kwesi telling the staff , " I'll get those Picks Back " Now , Weather he does or doesn't , remains to be seen !!! But he did what we needed him to do and should see if he does indeed get those picks back .......... Keep in mind , He did Hang on to our #1 pick next year , So, Think about it ... Look for a trade back in next years Draft !!! *********
@brianw3656
@brianw3656 29 күн бұрын
Yes, Declan, but the Packers (and Lions) are successful due to very good drafts. They have established young, cheap depth and building a foundation from those drafts. The vikings are not doing that due to weak drafting and draft philosophies (especially lack of picks) from Kwesi.
@Endeavor2Persevere
@Endeavor2Persevere 29 күн бұрын
The difference in your analysis and the guys on the show is simple: quality over quantity. IMO, this team needs quantity. The depth has been wiped out and filled by unwanted FA's. It's not the way to build a team.
@Robert-og2kr
@Robert-og2kr 27 күн бұрын
People forget the lousy situation Kwesi inherited. The cap situation was so bad that it took 3 years and tons of dead cap hits (including this year) to regain flexibility (which starts next year). The roster was aging with the "stars" mostly left over from the 2015 draft or before--Kendricks, Hunter, Smith, Theilen, Cousins. Cook was a bit younger, but as a RB, he was no longer elite. On top of that, it seems pretty clear that ownership wouldn't allow the new management to strip it down and trade those players for picks in 2022. Furthermore, because of the back loaded contracts, they all ended up leaving with near zero trade value. That wasn't on Kwesi; that was on Speilmann and ownership. Also, despite spending five 1st or 2nd round picks on CB in the few years before Kwesi arrived, the team somehow had zero starting quality Cornerbacks. This one really hacks me off because Zim considered himself to be the greatest defensive backs coach of all time. As for Kwesi's roster building, it's not just draft picks, it includes UDFAs (3 on the roster from last year, maybe 3 more this year), trades, and FA signings. His first two seasons, the FA signings were bargain basement guys like Z. Smith and Davenport because there was no cap space. This year with a bit of cap space they got Van Ginkel, Cashman, Greenard, Aaron Jones... Next year they are top 10 in the NFL in cap space. With the coaching staff in place, I'd say the Vikings very well might surprise to the upside.
@brianw3656
@brianw3656 26 күн бұрын
@Robert-og2kr He's making the cap situation worse because he can't draft.
@Robert-og2kr
@Robert-og2kr 26 күн бұрын
@@brianw3656 First, he has definitely made the cap situation better. In the 4 years before Kwesi arrived, Vikings were 32nd (2019), 30th (2020), 32nd (2021) and 29th (2022) in cap space. The last two years, they've moved to middle of the pack with huge ($46 million in 2023 and $57 million in 2024) dead cap hits. Next year, they are set to have the 5th largest amount of cap space available for free agency. As for not being able to draft, I think it's too early to know. If McCarthy and Turner hit, he'll stay. If they bust, then the whole front office probably gets wiped out again.
@brianw3656

You can't make judgments regarding the 2024 cap and beyond yet. Many players to sign. Look at the roster holes that exist in 2025 and that money will be gone quickly.

I love Judd's facial expressions, when he just checks out, and doesn't care about something (e.g. , wrestling, CFL, UFL, Legendary clothing....). If JJ leaves, which is a realistic possibility, will the three of you go though a mourning period, and, does that affect your predictions of wins this year, between 6 & 10 ? I ask this because the WAR for JJ doesn't seem to be much; and though he's a great personality and good guy, does a 35M+ receiver get us where we want to go ?

Judd has no way of knowing for sure that Darnold will not be extended. He would have been wiser to say there is only about a five per cent chance of that happening. If the Vikes go to the Super Bowl with Darnold, there would be a ton of pressure on the team to keep him. KOC might unlock the dude.
@snoworicehockey
@snoworicehockey 29 күн бұрын
The national media is always clueless on their Minnesota takes! 🙄 This was a deep draft and Minnesota got the #10 offensive player and #2 defensive player off the board and kept next year’s 1st … and their rookie QB won’t be ruined because he can sit and develop for up to a year with the help two coaches who were former NFL QB’s … and KOC has no pressure to play him too early with Darnold and Mullins as starter and backup. This is legitimately one of the Vikings best off-seasons ever and exactly the way a QB should start his career.

Here's the thing about shifting your mentality to not caring. You still have to be comfortable enough to be able to not care. That means housing, food, clothing, and the other basics. 78% of Americans are now living paycheck to paycheck, which means they're not in a position to be comfortable enough to be able to not care. Not caring about what random people think of you? That's basic. That's easy. Screw other people, they suck. But you still have to care about money. You still have to care about security. You still have to care about relationships with people you DO care about.

They definitely should not have done a one-year contract. It is so foolish... You don't give people an opportunity for the possibility of greatness. They could have done a second year at 15 million, 5 million salary 10 million on unlikely to be earned bonuses but likely to be earned he's still the starter. That way if he does blow it up, but you want to move forward with JJ as your starter in your two, you have a quarterback under contract that you can trade and get something from.

Kwesi has been trying to trade JJ since he got the GM job. He has been close to finishing a JJ trade several times and had Kwesi been more competent at the GM job, JJ would already have been traded. Like I have said since January, do not expect JJ to take part in any Vikings off season activities. JJ has since confirmed this is the Vikings thru his agent. During the pre season and training camp, he may check in and get a back pocket strain or something else, like an ear infection, but this will be only a sit in , instead of a hold out . Now looking at the Vikings future, in the 2024 season, the Vikings are playing for the cellar of the NFC North division. This will only be affected by how much the Vikings play their best QB, Nick Mullins. If Nick Mullins plays as starter for the entire season I would expect the Vikings to have a winning record, however if the Vikings play any combinations of Sam Darnold and JJ McCarthy I see 3-14 as the Vikings ceiling. Clearly Kwesi is looking to justify his off season moves, and using Nick Mullins as the QB the entire season, would emphasize his incompetence at GM. However, I think KOC has a vested interests in the Vikings performing competently on the field this year. One of these 2 should be on the hot seat after this season, and this is currently contributing to the toxicity building up inside the Vikings organization as it appears to be rotting from the inside. 😮😮😮 SKOL
