About OFF GRID with DOUG and STACY:
We moved to our 11 acres in 2011 from a large city in the Midwest with zero carpentry and farming skills. We live with no solar / wind power / public water or well. We share our adventure to a sustainable life, growing our own food from vegetables to meat. We post videos DAILY and they range from HOW TO to EVERYDAY LIFE and NUTRITION on the off grid homestead. We were city folks just like you probably and wanted to enjoy life and have more control over our food. We share food recipes as well as natural remedies.

Love your channel, and all of your efforts to share your knowledge and learning experiences. I just found this channel 5 minutes ago I as well love them too. You can also soak your feet in Epson salt. It will relax any tension you have in your feet especially if you’re on your feet all day while you’re at it, soak your whole body in it it’s good for you. Just make sure you drink plenty of water because it will take the salt out of your body and dehydrate you. You can also as weird as it may sound put Vicks vapor rub on your feet on this help soften your feet then when you’re done, put a pair of socks on preferably overnight and then it will also help keep your sinuses open.

Oh my goodness....just came across you video......I'm in my 60s, and have had issues with my feet most of my life....alot of these comments are spot on. When your feet hurt it causes a domino effect...first it's your feet, then your knees, next it's your hips finally your back. You get to where you feel like you've been hit by a train. I used to work retail for about 20 yrs, all of that standing at the register has made me having to use a walker now. Yep!.... I have everything you mentioned about foot issues. I hurt all of the time. I'm going to try your suggestions on the cider vinegar and foot exercises Thank you so much for the information. GOD BLESS !! Sheila in Az.

Thanks for the apple cider vinegar foot bath (and epson salts as well) reminder. I've known about this for quite some time, but have been procrastinating to beat the band. You are soooooo right about your feet, especially the wobbly walking part. I'm normally used to walking on uneven ground, but feel just a little bit off with my balance these days, and it really does seem like it is because of my feet and not challenging my feet and ankles as much as I should. Take care Homestead Homies!

Hey y'all, I LOVE your ideas that help make our bodies healthier. I'm a veteran with several health issues. Balance is a BIG problem for me. I was injured in the Gulf war. I tried your soak and for the first time in months they didn't hurt ! Do you have a video on low back pain?if so plz show me how to find it. P.S. I'm going to get a whirly bird popcorn cooker!! I'm recently married. My new husband and grand kids really like popcorn. I'm 53 and never knew popcorn have different flavors due to their colors! I'm getting smarter daily from watching homesteading videos. And it's loads of fun too!!! Take care, Robin

@Liz Wriston Try magnesium threonate. It crosses the blood brain barrier. I had migraines for 40 years and adding this form of magnesium really helped. I only get one a few times a year now. Not a few times a month. I have recommended to others who no longer suffer now too. I hope it helps you. Another tip to give you instant relief is snort a tiny amount of cayenne pepper. It blocks substance P which causes pain. Not too much. It will burn a little but doesn't last too long. Your headache will be noticeably better.

Great idea and I will try this. I use dishwasher salt in tepid water and soak for about 20-30 mins. You don't need to use a pumice stone, simply rub your feet together and the layers of dead skin fall off, I have never used it for longer than 30 mins as you want some skin left :). I got a 90 yo woman who had thick cracks with huge calluses all over her feet from years of wearing ill-fitting shoes. She was amazed at the results after 3 30 min sessions. She has never had any issues with her feet since.

The reason I checked out your site is I had my big toenail removed because somebody dropped a heavyweight on it years ago at work but now I'm getting like a crust over the area where the nail was and if it softens it ,I can remove it. Happy trails. Peace.

Hi from New Zealand.. ACV is a must in my home..also we have a dog and I have been spraying his coat up to x2-3 times weekly for about 3 years now with half water and half ACV spray bottle, and he hasn't needed any vet bought flea treatment at all in that time.. It also helped if he started that "doggie smell"..ACV spray takes the smell away in about 10 mins from spraying him... Am having issues with my feet and hadn't thought of that , ( will def look at starting the soak) I read online were a woman oin states shared her hubby was having fungus issues on feet, she soaked organic corn/maize flour in water , left it for about an hour then got hubby to soak his feet for about 20 mins, the flour thickens up with the "wild yeast" and the yeast seems to feed on the feet bugs..... I have been doing that also but not regularly, I did some research on the Corn flour and vitamin A "Yellow corn contains three carotenoids: alpha-carotene, beta-carotene and beta-cryptoxanthin. All three are provitamin A carotenoids, which means they're converted into retinol. This form of vitamin A is essential for normal vision and a healthy immune system. " I may start using both per week turnabout , as a comment below made sense to change the program to stop the virus /bug from adapting .. great advise .. thanks for your video really appreciated..

@dyoung6594

You can use one subsequent to another but not at the same time. Like ACV first then epsom salt. ACV is an acid and epsom salt in water is basic. In essence, they cancel each other out. Better to just use them separately such as on different days of the week.

@@Asa-wv1zbNot sure if this is all correct, but you can research it online your find out if it is correct. Epsom salt is or contains salt. So presumably your skin can soak up some of the salt from Epsom salt. So if a person is avoiding salt because of high BP or other health issues, you may want to find out how much salt vould be absorbed into you body when you use Epsom salt.

I've tried ACV on my feet before. I have a fungus growing under my right big toenail. I have tried many things to get rid of it, but to no avail. But the ACV soak really helped. The fungus is still there, but it's half of what it was. That's probably more me than anything why it's slow. I keep forgetting to use it. But from two soaks in a couple of months, that's pretty incredible to me! The ACV is working! Halleleuiah!
