@Ryan This happened to me. I have to admit, I was more harsh though. I was just sitting on my horse in defensive mode while gathering my bearings after a mission, then some random came up to me on their horse and tried to lasso me. Well, It's about principles, if you try to be a cunt then I will be a cunt... I could see what they was trying to do, so I killed their horse while they're still on it. They flopped over like a wet noodle, and I just went on my way.

Great video. I have been waiting for this second part. Totally agree with all info. I still struggle whether or no Never without 1 deserves a spot and I no longer think it does. I use The Slippery Bastard dead-eye effect always with The Unblinking Eye (which extends its active time). I also use it for the fishing and the new animal tagging free roam events to extend eagle eye. I also enjoy this card in peaceful free roam situations (for eagle eye). Very useful.

I know this video is old but I think now the gunslinger’s choice is a top tier card especially if you’re dual wielding a pistol instead of a revolver. With a dual Mauser and with this ability card you’re basically shooting with two SMGs

Horseman is only “required“ if you want three passive damage cards, because there is practically nothing else left. Works only in PVE (especially some co-op free roam), as serious PVP can not be done on horse.

I literally use: Slow and Steady Fool me Once Eye for an Eye Gunslingers Choice With dual Navy Revolvers. I can solo bounties, missions, and even free roam PvP vs 2 players. Just make sure you go for headshots. And you use Deadeye for every engagement involving 2 or more enemies. It’s a tank gunslinger build and it’s extremely fun to run around with. You can also use it with dual Volcanic Pistols too if you like to use pistols, or you’re going for a pistol buckle.

The recovery cards are much more balanced than these imo. There are way more good cards in recovery that are noticeable on their own and work in pve or pvp while a lot of cards here are very situational or require other cards to be good. side note-im probably going to give up stacking cards in damage/defensive and use a recovery card pve loadout from now on, il just switch in fool me once or winning streak if I need to pvp Great video btw

The short game is for pvp modes like Name your weapon in Saint Denis where you just fight with the shotgun, and it can be very useful and the difference between living and dying.

Friends for Life is the only defensive card for my Trade Route free roam event build: to get the most kills I ride my horse out in front and/or where NPCs spawn. Dead-Eye card is A Moment to Recuperate. These two make this style possible without dying in enemy fire in 3 seconds. I win almost all trade route events with a big margin.

Landon‘s Patience beats Winning Streak in PVE situations: in those you definitively want higher chances for one-shot kills and do not need any help for 3+ shot kills.

I love sharpshooter, I have gunned down many greifers using this and they didn’t stand a chance, you need a second gun holster for your belt and you need two navy revolvers with express ammo and the bullets fly fast and the greifer drop fast. Pow pow pow and they are are wiped out and best of all you can carry 200 bullets with the navy revolvers (2 of them) and fully upgraded they are unstoppable

NWO is def top tier for sure! They have nerfed it, right, but the las update did a significant buff! Now you are able to pick the hat up after it is shot down and this is huge. Have defended multiple head shots like this in a row! Only downside is that its picked up rather slow.

In my experience it saves me so much more often and every high level player uses it, which is not a coincidence:) Yeah, mb if you play slowly and run in line etc. you can be hit 85% of the time in the face and get killed from 2 shots on lock on range and 1 on mid range. But playing against top guys you need to be lightning fast and being that fast you gonna hit the hat a lot. And they gonna hit your hat a lot. But being able to pick the hat after you won a gunfight, so you can start a next one is huge. Otherwise, I agree that the card should block a shot at a certain percentage according to lvl (e.g. 25%/50%/75%), but now with the 2shot to the head for a kill at max lock on range the hat is even more useful, because the first or the second shot can be to the hat:)

I only agree with you on horseman for solo free roam pvp. In group free roam horseman is solid, my fiancé uses it with a very unique setup and she's basically the cavalry and Lancer of our group.

I started play pvp at about level 137. I am 150 today and I suck at pvp. But I changed my cards to PIB and Winning Streak,Iron Lung and Gunslinger all teir 3 . My play was much better today. I dumped Fool Me Once I just getting slaughtered for weeks. Much better today.

@@therealmaxprophet That's actually horse specific. I'm not sure if they meant to do that and simply forgot to implement for all horses of if it's a bug that only affects some horses but either way you can still gallop while using S&S on some horses.

The two yellow top cards for me is the worst. I dont like keep wait for shot too much and i dont use scope weapons "only for hunt" . Gunslinger choice i guess for me is the best. do you check your weight regularly when doing those tests? have you thought about that some abilities are much better in certain situations or game modes/events? hangman only for griefers? short game useless? think about some possible combinations and situations. short game can rock and so does hangman in the right hands and against certain player types.

I use both quite an inspiration and slow and steady, depending on the situation. For the rest, I use fool me once, never without one, and iron lung. I still use never without one since headshots in red Dead online is still very strong so if I'm caught off guard, I can activate slow and steady and fight back and possibly pick up my hat from the ground. I know it won't block a headshot everytime but I still cheat death the majority of the time with this perk so I'd say it's still pretty powerful.

Basically if a player shoots your HAT, you'll prevent them from getting a headshot but if you were to get shot in the FACE, regardless if you have never without one while wearing a hat, you'll die. The only thing that I know of that gets upgraded for Never Without One is the damage reduction you get while wearing a hat and that's it. I hope this clears up any issues.
