Thanks for sharing the experiment with Amazon Prime. It's too bad you can't Airplay downloaded movies from Prime or Netflix without wifi, as we have intermittent internet connectivity. It'd be nice to have backup entertainment we can play on the tv when internet is down

Ok I came to you channel to figure out how to use Appletv without using my hotspot and just by using my Cellular data. And just like you I could not stream on any paid apps. However ( and y’all let me know if it was already mentioned) but pull down your screen on your Apple device and disable the screen rotation and it will play the screen mirroring 🎉

I just watched a video from isaac tech where he was able to connect his iphone to apple tv with wifi disabled in the iphone. The apple tv was not connected to the internet. Bluetooth was enabled and when he selected mirroring the apple tv showed up. Is this really possible?

Thank you so much, you saved me $. I will stick with my Lightning to HDMI adapter. I refuse to pay for home internet and use LTE on my iPad to stream everything, I don't have any issues streaming KZbin, spectrum, DTV and full screen is working without issues with the dongle.

how can i use the apple tv without a remote? i bought one from someone and it didnt come with a remote, i can use my phone as a remote but have to have it hooked to an ethernet cord and I don't want to do that

You will need a Bluetooth Keyboard or generic remote or Macbook (you can connect Macbooks keyboard as Bluetooth keyboard to Apple TV) and then rest is easy setup

I cannot airplay apple TV on ipad to apple Tv connected to monitor, im only getting audio not video, not sure if its normal way to do it but its not having it, this is without using WiFi (internet), transfering of downloaded media only. input greatly appreciated. Airplay / screen mirror works fine for stored media on phone outside of apple TV app. Using my iPhone 11 with home movies transfered via iTunes, works fine airplay and screen mirror.

Hello, I have a party bus business in the United States. I would love for my clients to be able to stream videos from KZbin using their own phones. The bus does not have an internet connection and I don’t want to use my personal hotspot data. I would love for the clients to be able to pull from their own data and stream wirelessly to the TV I have onboard. Is there a way to accomplish this? One of the newer chrome cast devices perhaps? Looks like the differentiator is when you maximize the video. As long as you don’t do that, things work. Of course, Amazon and Netflix will only send your device into an endless loop of “Download the App!” even if you try to request desktop sites.

Darn! Mine will not allow any of this, I have a different generation Apple TV , does that mean I need to buy a whole new Apple TV so I can achieve the connection I seek? Can I update it then it will work? It’s been updated in the last 8 months. Currently I live in the woods and I have no wifi, no way of updating currently if I needed to. I got lucky and I have cell service on the hill, no way of updating anything. I can’t watch tv unless I connect my phone which is what I am attempting to do... I need help 😭

Honestly just get the HDMI dongle for 35 bucks you can watch streaming movies on by apple don’t waste your money on app tv unless you have WiFi

Yeah I had to use my adapter last night …but I don’t want my phone on lock down ..the Apple TV does give you some flexibility to use your phone as a remote …as you can see you don’t necessarily need WiFi to utilize Apple TV
