Is it possible to map notes on the drum view to multiple drum synths or VST's? And for the same token, can I do the same on the SQ? So, if I had AD2, Impact, Sample Tank/MODO and I wanted to make 1 GM Kit out of all of those, and maybe some random samples from elsewhere, is there a way to map them to/from the SQ, and mirror that mapping on the Drum View?

@trashhumper
@trashhumper 2 жыл бұрын
i know this is 3 months old but is there a way to revert back to the squares? i've always just programmed my midi with the piano roll but I recently saw someone using the square pattern editor and I can't find a way to go back to it it's just the cubase style triangles
@trashhumper
@trashhumper 2 жыл бұрын
LOL! as i sent this I went and tried to figure it out, all you need to do is is insert a pattern instead of an instrument part, so ctrl + shift + p or right click your pattern on the timeline and hit insert pattern and it'll convert it over to the squares!

Hi Quanta, why don't I have the video icon on the right of the snap and auto scroll icons? I'm on 5.3
@quantaaudio

The video functionality is only included in the professional version of S1. If you are using the prof. version, then, your screen resolution is either too small, or, you need to maximize the S1 window.

The Video Player button is the first one that disappears when you shrink the screen to a 60% of the monitor size horizontally aprox.

Forget that artificial kids stuff and get a real drummer playing a real instrument. (If you want to create real music)
@quantaaudio
@quantaaudio 3 жыл бұрын
So any music that doesn't have a real drummer is not "real music"? That is completely narrow-minded and ludicrous. Tell that to Bjork, Thom Yorke, Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, Boards of Canada, and ALL of the other amazing musicians who have released incredible music that included the use of "artificial kids stuff". Evolve your mind, and stop spreading your negativity in the comment section. It is not wanted here.

@@quantaaudio This guy's whole reality would shatter if he ever figured out how much of his idealized 70's rock was created without "real" instruments

You seam like you need somewhere to vent. Why do you bother watching a video on drum synthesis in Studio one when it's not even a subject you are interested in? Too much time to spare? Covid restriction issues?
@jamodrama3897
@jamodrama3897 3 жыл бұрын
@@quantaaudio Real top class musicians would never use drum loops or any other artificial stuff. This is not meant to be a negative comment. But I do realize that it can be difficult and/or expensive to find a real drummer who can play in time. Using drum loops is less time consuming but music needs human feel, not some kind of robotic feel.

@@jamodrama3897 On my channel I cover nearly every feature that is included in Studio One, if it is a feature/topic that you are not interested in or disagree with, why watch the video and spread negativity? Also, If your comment was not meant to be negative, then why did you use words like "kids stuff" and "artificial"? There ARE other highly respectable genres of music that involve programming drums using a drum editor, and I think that it is not fair for you to discount those genres and methods just because you don't employ them, yourself. If you are recording rock/acoustic/country/folk music with live drums, then this topic is not meant for you - simple as that. Just skip watching it, and let those of us who want to learn more about this topic do so without injecting your negativity in the comment section.
