Daniel Wickham its weird seeing Queen without Freddie):
@derekmok5 жыл бұрын
You can tell Hetfield felt bizarre as well. No frontman who's used to singing without an instrument will hold his microphone like that; it blocks his face (ruining pictures and putting a barrier between himself and his audience) and makes his voice hit the microphone at the wrong angle.

I think this is form the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert that was done as a fundraiser for an AIDS charity org that was founded in his honor. It drew a lot of late 80's/early 90's acts, plus members of The Who and other acts that knew or toured with Queen.

Queen already played thrash metal before it was even a thing
@ChernovFan1009 жыл бұрын
Queen and to an extent Motorhead and Thin Lizzy as well. That's where thrash began I think. And then of course Exodus, Slayer, Anthrax and Metallica all came along afterwards.

Yes, as featured in 'a year and half in the life of metallica' tony iommi was the rythim guitarist during this live performance which made hetfield's day (huge sabbath fan).

Freddie's voice tends to work better than anyone else's voice for any song... I have no idea how something that is out of place could sound good, but if you say so... My opinion is that Freddie was so good, that he was able to pull out any type of song and do it brilliantly. Enough said.
@Xcorgi13 жыл бұрын
Great to see John Deacon in his last live preformance with Queen. They haven't had a bass player yet that provides such a precise and heavy bottom end. John is one of the best bassists ever but for some reason the most under rated. James was a perfect pick to cover the vocals for this song also!
@javierp37162 жыл бұрын
En realidad en 1997, junto a Roger, Brian y Elton John tocaron "The Show Must Go On" en Paris, para ponerle musica a una puesta en escena del coreografo Maurice Bejart (amigo de Freddie)......

Metallica covered the song in 1991 and they won a Grammy with it! It was a no-brainer for James to sing it.

Yes, Brian May was a big influence on James. I learned that the other day reading "Metallifacts" on the new "Guitar Hero: Metallica" game. "Stone Cold Crazy" by Queen is in that game. Metallica recorded a cover of the song in 1990 well before Freddie's death, and played the cover on tour many times as well.

@GuitarThrash09 Master of Puppets was released in 1986. Lit on fire was 5 years later man. He broke his arm while skateboarding in 1986. Then John Marshall did guitar duties for that Master of Puppets Tour in 1986. Visit the Wikipedia of James Hetfield for learning about this..
