No need to take the wheels off unless you are going to check pad wear and ball joints, gaiters, etc. Use a container that holds more oil than you are draining, and put newspaper under it. Use the same funnel you used to fill the engine, to empty the old oil into an empty container. Put newspaper under that too. Cat litter is good for removing oil stains from your driveway.

As the oil nut is in front of the oil pan and you tilt the car backwards your do not completely drain the oil pan leaving some old oil inside which is not optimal.

@@filmsbyimran_ the car stopped doing the lurching on its own. But I got a service b on my gauge cluster what do I have to do for that? I tried searched the web and it basically says brake fluid, oil change (already did that), cabin filter and possibly spark plugs. My exact code is b5.

1- the wheels don't have to be removed. Drive the car up ramps then you won't even need jack stands safety is 100% 2- your car only took 4 litres because you checking oil level with it jacked up in the air. Drain your oil replace your sump nut drop the car then put your oil to get true readings. 3- way to much of a mess that was 10mins x5. 4- the way you loosen your wheels nuts think about your back rather push down then pull up. Great vid to try and help others.

Why do you take wheels of? Undertray bolts size are 8mm. Drain bolt is at the front of the sump so you should drop car at horizontal level to make sure all oil was drained. Other ways good work thumbs-up.

Yes, it will be good to use a piece of rubber, but it doesn’t make much of a difference. You’ll see a piece of metal protruding out a little bit more that’s where you place the axle stand

Its a nice video but btw you were doing a bad job by refilling your dirty Oil into the old package. All the oil beside is going to go ists way down to the groundwater. Bad for the health of each of us.

@@filmsbyimran_ ? What no why? Mercedes does oil changes while hot oil after driving from the top through the dipstick...otherwise there would be a service hatch on the baseplate. And no copper grease on the wheels either it gives dielectric corrosion and is generally prohibited because you break the surface stick force by introducing another layer. Please just kick on the tires by foot and stop lubing them to do it by the book, or as the trained people do it. Experiment can kill as someone might do it "special" way and then it wasn't good enough. So for safety reasons work by code and not own standards
