I just realized what you said about the conspiracy theories is the same with me. I’ve been focusing on everything bad in the world. Kratom has made me feel dead spiritually and weed has killed my drive to do anything. You channel is different from most. You put God first and very few say anything about it. I appreciate that you take the time to make these videos. Thank you.

I appreciate your take on this and sharing your experience. I used to be addicted to heroin and cocaine/crack, and I’m so thankful to be on Suboxone now.Everybody’s recovery is unique and that’s why there’s a lot of options out there for people. I also struggle with pretty bad ADHD, and so after I got clean off of cocaine, my doctor put me on Adderall XR. It has really helped me a lot during my day, especially at work. I know there’s probably a lot of people that will say I’m not clean or whatever but I don’t really care. I’m thankful to God that I’m not living my old addict lifestyle anymore. Being sober is just honestly a state of mind. To me, it has nothing to do if you’re if you’re abstaining from any substance or not.

I stopped weed 5half weeks ago and Kratom since 8days after drinking 50g daily for 2years. I went from 50 to 0 cold so the first day was pretty intense physically too. I went in a hot bathtub and was able to sleep a little. Day 2 and 3 was a mental battle in a class of its own. But on day 5, a little light started to dawn and since 2 days im really fine. I hope this encourages someone. The psychological aspect is basically no different than when you get really drunk at the age over 40. There a hangover lasts 2-3 days too. You have to go through with it.

Hello grace it’s been a while, I have relapsed 3 times on kratom today is day 2 of another attempt but I have been smoking more and more weed to compensate for the K, all this stuff is truly addicting I wish I had never touched any of it who knows where I would be at by now all I wish is that I can fully heal from it

Hey Angelo, so glad to hear from you again. I hear your heart and your desire to be free, and I just want to encourage you to continue pushing forward. I know the pull that these substances have on us, and I know what you’re going through right now isn’t easy. But please know that you can do this, and that you have your life ahead of you to live to the fullest. This discomfort and pain doesn’t last forever, and these substances (and the addictions to them) have a way of convincing us that we feel better with them, and that we can’t live without them. But we can- and once we get through the discomfort of letting them go, it’s incredible who we become and how good we actually feel without them. You can do this, Angelo. Please feel free to contact me if you need support or encouragement as you move forward. I’m here for you.

How long did it take you to feel like everything was “normal” with your brain? 3 months? 6? So much of what you said resonated, I too grew up immersed in hippy culture so I didn’t stand a chance. Quit Kratom for 8 months but just smoked more weed instead. Picked the Kratom back up last year and wanting to be 100% clean again but use both as coping mechanisms. Sad how much we lost with this plant.

Amazing advice though for real. You’re the best. Both K powder & herb if I go a long time without them, they feel weird. Not even a long time but like a few days or a week. Then go back to them, they feel so bad & not how they used to when taking them all day. Like increase anxiety & paranoia. I did what you said with the vape pen. Only hit it one time, twice a day. It just doesn’t feel as good. Can’t believe I would just hit these things all day like every 30 minutes. I feel what you say though for real. When you look back at it, so much wasted money that could for sure be advancing one’s life instead. If anyone is struggling for real just trying your hardest to go a couple days without the substance then go back to it & it just won’t feel the same anymore, or maybe I’m just getting old haha.

I was a pothead for 15 or more years. Also drank beer every weekend and would get smashed. Kratom got me to quit drinking and smoking which was amazing because I wasn't even trying to quit. I just lost interest? but now I'm trying to kick kratom and it is pretty awful. I just want to be free from the chains of addiction for good. It's like being a slave. Not worth it.

Bongs rips used to be my favorite but once I started picking up the vape cartridges it was over from there, I can smoke it constantly at my highest I would hit it every 15-30 minutes, anyone who is dependent on weed.. definitely stay away from the vape carts!! Their convenience and lack of smell makes it so easy to smoke it wherever whenever, wether it’s at work or even your parents house you’ll find yourself smoking it more and more and waste a lot more money on weed.

I get you on saying that weed took some years and potential from you, I took a break and I see how much it slows your brain down. Now using it probably 2-3 times a week versus every night. I will say that weed did help get rid of childhood trauma. Its good that you are sharing with others that weed can indeed hinder your abilities and life. All these drugs have uses but must be respected

For some reason I have terrible GERD. Doctors can't explain it, but I can try. I think that it is caused by severe anxiety as I am not even close to getting my life together and I am 32. Also been going through other mental issues that spiraled me into a bad existential crisis. During this I smoked so much weed! 5 - 10 joints a day. I never had GERD until the years gone by. During my crisis, I had so much negative energy in me and I would drown it with POT. I loved how it would magically turn the bad thoughts into good thoughts. At the same time it gave me more anxiety thinking how crazy I was for being so angry and negative and i used to panic and cry high. So I would smoke daily and I noticed after about a year that every time I smoked, my upper abdomen felt really weird and would burn. I would feel the smoke opening something in my upper abdomen but I shrugged it off. Then I started feeling that burning when I didn't smoke. I was addicted to smoking so I just kept shrugging it off. Now I am at the point that this crazy upper abdomen pain does not go away! Even when I quit! I deal with the chronic pain daily. I think the marijuana triggered the GERD but the underlying problem was the negativity and anxiety. I had quit weed for months, and still feltthe chronic pain. Unfortunately, I start to smoke again because of social circles, or meeting a beautiful girl that smokes, so I partake with them. Now, I quit again for 2 weeks so far. Still deal with chronic pain daily, but I am hoping this heals up somehow. I am sick of the constant burning. I hope that it goes away from controlling anxiety and abstinence from weed. Thanks for sharing your story. My life is telling me to stop smoking. And it really isn't easy. I gotta fight this time in my life sober.

quitting weed is like a nice vacation in bahamas compared to quitting kratom that is like being lost in a desert, also with weed is easy to regulate your dose and lower tolerance, kratom traps you and doesnt let you even taper without feeling withdrawals, that for me are very bad

Likewise, the weed I grew up with, while excellent quality was well within my purview, it was NOT what it is today. Drinking & putting a buzz on in high school was delightful recreation for a time. Selling a bit was de rigueur if you wanted pocket money. Smoked as much as we could get our hands on. Married young and brought that baggage along. While drinking was most certainly my Achilles heel and contributed to divorce nearly 7 years in, weed was my best friend. A near perfect sedative in the evening, but in the end an all day love affair more or less. The drink went first… Abstained intermittently from the dope because I really didn’t like being high all the time. I loved the first hour though. After 9 months I was hanging out in the back room of a corner green grocer a friend owned. The staff and friends would have puff now and again in my presence. Wasn’t a problem being around drinkers or pot heads for me, though I became increasingly bored with the inane conversations that nearly always followed. We’re hanging in the back and another friend who grew the best weed I’ve had to date, under the canopy of her Michigan apple orchard, whipped out bag of the most lovely looking and smelling bud ever. She was a master. Sourced her seed from British Columbia in those days. As they passed the hooter around I put my hand out to everyone’s surprise and took a hit. Wow!! Couple more and I asked her to hook me up. It was the elusive “one hit wonder “. The holy grail i’d only heard about. Not many days later I’m driving home at 3am from movie night at a friend’s house. He didn’t know I toked so I rolled a bomber of the lasted harvest for the road. She WARNED me to be careful, one or two hits would get me where I wanted to go. New strain. I get halfway thru the 10 mile drive, and halfway through that bomber and realized I am now blitzed. And it’s building. My heart starts racing like never before, beating nearly out of my chest. Then the anxiety of an impending heart attack comes on as the buzz continues to build. I now realize I’m in big trouble and just need to make it home. Then BAMM!!!…I blast right into a deer out of NOWHERE. Bashes my front end, hits the windshield and rolls over the top and behind. I’m absolutely stunned and pull over. radiator steam engulfed the car. Like an instinctual wounded animal I jumped into the car and beelined for home hoping the engine wouldn’t stop. While i did make the last few miles avoiding the man, I did blow the engine, front end was totaled and utterly incomprehensible i made it home. I was completely traumatized and couldn’t sleep. I never smoked again. It was Easter Weekend…

1st time quitting Kratom (8 year 20-30 gpd habit) was easier than weed. I smoke weed for 25 years straight. I relapsed on Kratom and took for like 2 months …1st month used 10-15gpd…2nd month backup to 25-30. Quitting Kratom 2nd time was waaay harder than 1st and I’m not sure why. You would think 8 years of daily use would be harder than 2 months of use after 5 months of being sober from it

The potency of weed doesn't necessarily change any kind of thing about it you just get more stoned, it's not worse for you or anyting. And I'll be honest iced tea a high back in like 2003 way higher than I do off this stuff that I buy at the dispensary

I miss the morning smoke and coffee, but it gives me anxiety nowadays. I don't see it as a gift from god, more the total opposite lol. You have a more positive outlook to all of this, I'm happy for you. It's interesting, some christians see weed as a gift from god. I think it helps to buck the mind control and helps creativity. I feel like a bit of a zombie and low consciousness since I gave it up. Honestly I feel more connected to god when I'm stoned.

I used to smoke weed more than most people I ever met. I grew up in california so I remember when weed wasnt as strong as it is today. I definitely have had the worst panic attacks off of weed. No other drug has come close and ive done alot of drugs. My take on kratom is alot different. Ive been doing kratom for 5 years now and I have gotten so much better mentally and way less depressed. Even when something would happen normally I would get super depressed but now that im on kratom I havent gotten like that in a long time. I never got covid and was around it every day and in fact took care of a friend who had it. This is back when we were only a few months in and told my work I was exposed to it and was told to test in a week and dont come back to work until you get a negative test. Anyways I never got it and was always in big crowds and in fact did doordash alot. To this day all I took was kratom and vitamins and have seen everyone around me get it at least once and some people a few times. I work at a shop selling kratom and Ive had the chance to hear some of the most amazing stories of all kinds of different people. Thats what is so weird about it is kratom has done wonders for people more then anything ive ever come across. Im all for sobriety and definitely encourage it for people all the time but for me kratom is not off the table and not sure if it will ever be. I fill if something destroys relationships and ruins your life then it is best to quit doing those things. I think alot of people maybe just let it control there lives more then it should but there are many reasons that could be happening. I think there needs to be some better sources for people to look to for how to use kratom and where to get it from. That can make a huge difference in how it effects you as well

Hey Jacob, thanks for sharing your experience in a respectful way. Unfortunately a lot of kratom advocates don’t do that, so it’s much appreciated. I agree that kratom can be beneficial for some people, and do not support it being scheduled and made illegal. But I do believe that its potential risks should be communicated more clearly, which is one of the main purposes of this channel. Thanks again and hope you have a good day :)

Hi I ran across your video and love to contact. I have had addiction problems on and off of my life. From prescription medicine Kratom cigarettes alcohol weed Vyvanse and caffeine. I'm not even sure I know my true self but I have been able to give up weed and Kratom which was huge. I am a Christian and have Jesus in my heart but I have walked away for my face so many times that I feel like such a loser. At the same time I do think God still loves me because he's helps me through these addictions. The big lie about drugs that's going to make you feel better about yourself but all it does is Rob you of your life and cause problems. I just look forward to finding out who I really am at the Baseline without any drugs. I had this once in my life about 20 years ago. And of course something happened in my life that pushed me back into the scene again. I don't think I ever gave up coffee though LOL. I asked my doctor about weaning off of Vyvanse and he looked at me like I was crazy. Do you have any advice on this? I'm still smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee and of course taking Vyvanse because I'm not quite sure how to wean off yet. For me I personally believe one Vice at a time and plenty of time to recover. Kratom was the hardest thing I ever had to give up and I'm still like you mentioned feeling the aftermath. Keep doing what you're doing is so helpful to so many people you must have no idea thank you so much and God bless you

Its not even comparable for me, i can literally stop smoking at any point in time of the day or week for years on end after regularly smoking it for 20 something years and i can do it without even thinking about it and have many times, this kratom however has got me in a fit that is physically no joke, weed has never done this to me ... after 5 years of heavy kratom usage 60 - 100 grams per day i'm now on day 8 of tapering down to 28gpd with only 2 doses within a 24 hour period with 10 - 15 hour windows in between and to say its been rough is an understatement of the year ... the drastic shift cutting out my middle dose and cutting a third of my intake was a shock to my body, the first 3 days where absolutely awful but i grinded it out sticking to my promise and i realized after the third day the withdrawals got easier to bare but they are still here and they get quite exhausting. There ARE withdrawals after long use of this stuff, there's people who only take 10 gpd (grams per day) for only a year or less who go through the exact same thing and thats consider an appropriate light dose, the withdrawals are extremely unbearable, if anyone doubts this you are free to go check out the reddit page "quitting kratom" and they'll share with you what kind of hell people are going through trying to get off this stuff, at one point on my second day of tapering i felt like i was literally about to go insane waiting for my next dose, stomach was on fire, restless, crazy cramping, unbelievable anxiety, lethargic, depression i've never felt before, pain everywhere... I'd honestly rather get beat over the head with a shovel once a day for the next three weeks than deal with what i'm having to deal with if it got me off this stuff.
