Someone said before on the topic, that if you get a lot of those guys, your prices are too low for your art :D Apparenly, if your prices are higher, these kinds of people keep scrolling past, while the ones actually interested are prepared to pay the price and don't complain about it, they came to make the investment :D But I don't know, of course have to consider all kinds of things with pricing.

Really, the only ones who should even ATTEMPT to ask for free stuff are folks like close friends. And even then, that has a limit and the artist can still say no for one reason or another. If the asker takes offense to an artist saying no, that's on them and they can enjoy their spot on r/choosingbeggars.

Or bad customers at a dollar general compared to maybe target? (I dont shop much idk) When something is cheap you get cheap people. When something is worth its price you get quality people.

One thing you'll learn from these people is that you have to be careful about being generous. They will exploit that kindness to ask for more than they're being offered, then blow up on you when you don't comply with their "demands", and they won't hesitate to try and make you crumble from their insults and slander. It's a psychological warfare that the legal system have failed to catch up to, which is downright sad.
