Well, first off, not all transgendered people do feel discomfort in their body. Those that do may not find surgery a desirable intervention. They may take less severe steps. By surgery, you probably mean surgery to reconstruct their genitals in an approximation of the other sex', but consider that genitals are not the only sex characteristics. What about things like face structure, fat distribution, vocal fold thickness, adams apples, breasts, etc.? All of these things can be surgically modified to approximate the natural characteristics typical of the other sex.@@user-zo4ei1ip2i

They are our reward for half-developing and phoning the rest in. The future isn't in disenfranchising people, although that would feel appropriate sometimes because it's easier and we're all tired and kept tired. Part of the reason some people are so lost is because they are tired and it makes them angry and short sighted and selfish through fear. We all have that in common.

Yeah it's like, my grandmother was beaten in school for being left-handed because that meant she was "of the devil". You're not wrong about things being more overwhelming these days, and modern society is absolutely not set up to accommodate neurodiversity. I don't think pre-industrial communities would have exiled or killed autistic people. A lot of homesteading work/cottage industries involve enormous quanitites of tedious and repeitive labour. I'd expect that they'd love to have someone who genuinely enjoys those activities ("You're saying I can sit here carding wool all day? Yes, please!"), or whose special interest is related to livestock or agriculture ("Hey, let me tell you all these interesting things I know about chickens"). That, balanced against not being able to maintain eye contact or being socially awkward or only wanting to eat certain types of food, makes them a bit weird but a valuable member of the community.

They've also conducted studies that show that ADHD is actually useful in terms of survivability. They studied two tribes of people. One was considered neurotypical and the other showed more signs of neurodiversity and ADHD. What they found was that in the ADHD tribe, things like being more sensitive to sound and their tendency to be easily "distracted" made it harder for their enemies to sneak up on them and gave them the advantage when it came to hunting. They even noted that their sometimes "erratic behaviour" was often seen as intimidating to their enemies. Don't know where you got your information from though, even the Moses-wrote-the-first-books-of-the-Pentateuch hypothesis puts a hard upper limit for the oldest books (i.e. when Moses lived) somewhere in the 13th to 15th (using biblical chronology in the latter case) century BCE. The more realistic hypothesis that the Pentateuch was compiled into a single written text from previous texts and oral tradition puts the date for the oldest written version of the oldest books in the Bible as we know them today during the Babylonian exile (597-538 BCE). The latter hypothesis also has Moses as the hard upper limit for the origin of the contents of the oldest books. Also, as there are post-Babylonian Exile books in the Old Testament, and we have clear dates for when the Babylonian exile was, as we have sources outside the Bible/Torah that document when these events happened. Generally, references the further back they go before the Babylonian Exile, the less they agree with independent historical (mainly Egyptian and Assyrian, the only major civilisations to survive the Bronze Age Collapse) and archaeological records. For instance, events that would have taken place in the Bronze Age Collapse (BAC) are entirely absent i.e. most apocalyptic times for people in the Eastern Mediterranean with decades of famine, every major city in the region being destroyed, almost all major civilisations being wiped out in a matter of years. The Bible makes no mention of this. There is also no mention of the events in Exodus in Egyptian records, or any other historical record of civilisations in the region (and that major of an even would have resulted in a plethora of new treaties and correspondence between the royal houses of the known powers in the region, since that is what we see with other less momentous events at the time). According to recent archaeological finds of Finkelstein et al., settlements of the Israelites appeared in what had just previously (before the BAC) been Canaanite lands. A hypothesis that is currently seen as likely by many historians is that Israelites likely emerged out of previous civilisations of the Levant following the BAC, mostly had an oral tradition prior to the burning of the First Temple, and only fully compiled and codified their history, laws, religious traditions, and origin story into one coherent narrative in the Babylonian Exile. But please do enlighten me with the evidence for how the Old Testament is 4k years old.

Illuminaughtii has a video, but it’s wilder than even her story! I was a part of the group that got them shut down, “BOO is Woo.” People were literally putting it in every single orifice. One woman wanted to know how to get it into her UTERUS and keep it there for a while, to detox. One woman said her husband’s p***s got infected, and it “definitely wasn’t” an STI because he would never cheat. They kept putting the landfill bog dirt on it, and it got nasty. I think he ended up in the emergency room. One of the MLM sellers claimed that a landfill bog dirt foot bath would get the parasites out, because they would exit your feet through “quantum tunneling.” Stuff was $110 US for 125 grams/4.4 ounces. And there are screenshots and videos for ALL of this. This is truly a case of “truth is stranger than fiction.”

As an Australian, I can vouch that kangaroos really do exist. I've seen them, touched them, even bottle fed a baby kangaroo that we looked after for a while. We found him in his dead mother's pouch on the road, and took him home and looked after him, and when he was old enough to stop the bottles, we sent him to a kangaroo sanctuary to teach him to live in the wild. My mother also sewed a pouch for him to sleep in out of a sleeping bag.

Lead can be toxic because our body isn’t able to assimilate lead easily. Child are smaller and less aware of the risk of consuming lead so they can easily die from lead poisoning. I was really into dinosaurs when I was a kid. My Christian grandparents that raised me would get me things like dinosaur figures, how to draw dinosaurs books, and so on. One day, my grandma got me a book that said that dinosaurs were around until 1500 AD. The same book also claimed that mammoths were a type of dinosaur. It left me very confused, since at the time I was going to the public library and my elementary school's library to learn everything I could about dinosaurs and everywhere else I looked said they died out long before humanity was around. I kept the book my grandma got me for two reasons, one was that I liked the artwork, such as pictures showing dinosaurs fighting knights. The second reason was because I didn't want to hurt my grandma's feelings. As I grew older I began to tell grandma about the things I was learning from school and she listened. There are still some things we argue about. I support God-guided evolution where she is a creationist, as an example. But I've gotten her to accept things I never thought she would because she's the type of creation who only believes what her pastor tells her to believe. Luckily, she trusts my judgement on things. So when she reads something online or hears about something through youtube, she'll come and ask me to look into it for her. I'm even teaching her how to use snopes so that, when I move out, she'll be able to find the answers to her questions herself.

My Mom pretty much fits into this category, once as a teenager, I was given birth control to help with my really bad cramps, that were so painful I threw up, and sometimes she'd be all like "I wish there was a more natural way to cure your condition, so you don't have to take birth control anymore." I was also diagnosed with clinical depression and anxiety later in life, something I've more than likely had before taking birth control, it was just never properly addressed, or taken care of, and because of that I have missing chunks of memory from all my teen years, until I started taking medication, and was able to think a bit clearly, and she goes on about essential oils that will take care of my depression, and anxiety, and my acid reflux, if I just take their special pills. Or these home remedies, and cooking, that will totally help with my Depression, anxiety, and ADHD, btw did you know my ADHD is unmedicated, because my Mom fully believes that it's bad for me? @LongJohn Silver That's good, my Dad is still hella supportive, kind, and sweet, and has gone out of his way to make sure I feel better, probably the reason why I was still able to keep my meds, I also suggest not just a psychiatrist, but a therapist as well, there's a huge difference between the two, a psychiatrist is supposed to diagnose problems, and recommend certain medications for your problems, and nothing else, whereas a therapist is the one who also helps to mentally stabilize you through advice, and talking through your traumas, suicidal thoughts and behaviors, etc. But they're incapable of prescribing meds, hence why you need both.

the lemon and honey remedy does actually work for making you feel better! it doesnt cure viral infections, since honey only has antibacterial properties, but honey coats your throat which makes it feel less sore and lemon helps to break down mucus which can mean you dont feel as stuffy and gross. the vitamin c doesnt actually help an ongoing infection though- it strengthens the immune system, but only if you eat it regularly. So yeah! drink tea with lemon and honey when you have a cold, bc while it wont make you recover, itll make it more bearable :)

Yeah, it looks like it would be very soothing and comforting. Steam and hot liquids are great when you have respiratory issues. And the fragrant citrus oils can help with congestion. yup! Our whole family had repeatedly got vaxed, and then all of us at some point have caught Covid. Mom and grandma basically had it like just unusually hard cold, mom's husband had it like a flu first time and (i assume, a different type) also flu, but easier the second time. For me it felt like some pretty light flu, but with a lot of heavy bronchial coughing, probably had some bronchitis going on, too (not too bad on my lungs, tho, and no shortness of breathing, just a really heavy cough). So if that's any statistical evidence - yup, vaccine does make it better.

I probably had covid in March 2020, just before lockdowns started, but I thought it was just a really bad cold or the flu at the time (I think I missed about a week of school, and symptoms persisted for 2 weeks). I only realized months later that I had basically all the symptoms as there wasn't a lot of information available at the time, all of the cases seemed more severe (we kept hearing about people having to get put on ventilators), and testing was limited to hospitals, LTC homes, and medical professionals at the time. My dad and I (both triple vaxxed) both got sick fairly recently (he tested positive). He had basically a head cold, and I just felt like I was getting sick (but never had any symptoms and never tested positive).

I don't want to describe it as 'logic' but the reasoning has a history through many religions and extends into ET conspiracies too. The idea is that the negative force exists in the presence of a greater good, a benevolent god or power that absolutely could intervene yet often doesn't. This indicates that there are rules governing the relationship between the powers, sometimes as a result of the negative force being a creation itself. These rules run roughly along the notion of bestowed free will and that we as humans will always have free will even if that means acting against our own interests. We can do that, because we choose to. It leads to a proposed dynamic whereby we can be led very far down a bad path as long as the rules are observed then the greater good will not intervene. The greater good opposes direct deception and will work against it, but there are many, many ways to let a human deceive themselves even though you have technically been open or even explicit. Some form of notification, some symbol of intention is therefore required but easily obfuscated into a culture like ours. I don't subscribe to the conspiracies but I do think that some of the underlying awareness of human nature is quite on the nose. We're definitely a species that always gets what It deserves even though it knows better.

Factor one: health care, wayyyy less people die as a result of allergies, than 50 years ago, meaning: the percentage of living people with allergies is significantly higher nowadays, because they don't die from it. Also, diagnostics are much better today. What back in the day may have gone on record as "choked on a xyz" or "has a rash" or "has indigestion" today would go on record as the allergy that it actually is. Factor two: food diversity. This has two effects. Back when people did not have food diversity, if they were allergic to, for example, the only source of protein available to them, they died. Nowadays they can choose a different source of protein. In turn, with today's food diversity people discover allergies they would've never found, if they didn't have access to this foreign type of food. Factor three: before penicillin was discovered (and other antibiotics) there would've been no opportunity or need to detect and record the according allergies. The more "new" substances we create the more likey we're gonna detect allergies that were unknown - doesn't mean they didn't exist. So I'd say detected/diagnosed/publicly recorded allergies are more common, yes. But I don't think allergies in themselves are more common.

Fun fact: the snake staff that's used as a symbol of hospitals and stuff, is actually a symbol of Hermes, the Greek god of travel and of healing. Hermes was not the greek god of healing. The greek god of healing was Asklepios and his symbol was a staff with one (1!) snake. The Caduceus, the staff of Hermes with the two snakes is only used for medical services in the US, because they didn't get the difference. In most other countries the symbol used is the staff of Asklepios or the the cup and snake of Hygeia, his daughter, the symbol of cleanliness (water) and the healing effects of poisons (snake), like in the German symbol of pharmacies.
