Some kid tried to buy cigarettes in my dad's shop, they didn't have I'd and then they accused the guy working of sexual assualt,( saying he had touched her arm) the police dropped but he couldn't work in that shop again cos of some of the customers being on her side. Don't worry my dad gave him work somewhere else tho but it was further away etc

2-10% are proven to be completely false. Around 10% have convictions. Somewhere in the middle is the actual rate. However, the police can’t even attempt to punish someone if they don’t know a crime was committed. Then, because of our system to prevent innocent people being punished, the presumption of innocent until proven guilty occurs. They have to find proof that it happened and overwhelming proof of who it was.

The woman who assaulted OP (Plummer) most likely got charged with giving fictitious information to the officer in addition to the assault and battery charges. Good on you, OP, for following through with the charges in court. So many victims get frustrated with the legal system and stop coming to the court dates.

The last one. THIS. This is why when someone is rude to me, I try to continue being nice. I never know what may have happened. One time, a friend of mine accidentally hit the back of someones car. It was his fault. He wasn't paying enough attention and luckily he punched on the brakes enough to prevent much damage. There was just a scrape. But, the two got out of their cars and before my friend could utter a single word, the hit driver blew a fuse. The driver yelled, swore and used certain hand gestured, hopped into his car and sped off. Two weekends later, my friend was at some place to do a lecture. (That was apart of his job.) And he made eye contact with the man he'd run into. After his lecture and the even was wrapping up, the driver took it upon himself to talk to my friend. He said, "Hey, I'm sorry for how I reacted. I was coming home from the hospital after my wife passed away and I had been wondering how I would tell my kids that their mom is never coming home." The hit was just the cherry on top that sent his life tumbling over. You just never know, so TRY to give the benefit of the doubt, depending on the situation of course. Like the story with the trash bag? Yeah, no, that's assault and false accusations that could have put him in jail. Lock her up and humble her before she goes back out into society.

Being rude or inconsiderate when you're stressed or hurting doesn't make your right, or evil. It just makes you human, with all the faults that that entails. Zotan Inoron you are correct as well. It is human to want to try and share your worldview with others and share(sometimes forcefully) your pain and stress to relax more. I understand it is human, but it is also an asshole thing to do. Here is an example of my view. Imagine you are carrying 50kg of bricks and walk up to a random guy and giving him 50% of the weight you are carrying forcefully and then telling him "Come and help me carry these bricks". Doing this is wrong, as there are lifters you can pay money to help you. Paying movers and helpers to carry the weight with you is the right thing to do. A therapist is such a helper. If you have friends you can trust, then you can have helpers who do it for free, albeit at a lower quality.

People like this woman are the reason that most women don’t report their assault or are not believed and is the reason for women I know having disappeared after reporting abusive actions and not being believed or being murdered just remember that shitty people don’t represent the whole problem. But mostly, there is still some burden of evidence on the accuser. You could argue that a lesser one, could be true, too. I don't know though really. What is worse though, are the media. They WILL report that a sexual predator is tried for sexual assault. However, they have no obligation to report that the guy is innocent. So they won't, because it has little shock value. Other damning effects it has on the falsely accused man are, he will likely spend time in prison/detention, until he can be proclaimed innocent. He will lose his job, and with the stigma of a sexual predator (despite being proven innocent), will have a hard time of finding a new job. HR of many companies are invaded by nasty feminists, which makes it even worse. He will be considered guilty by much of the community anyway. Those who have the money and courage to move to a different state or country to escape this stigma are the lucky ones. The others have their lives ruined forever. The false accuser? Gets a slap on her wrists. Most often will not serve any jail time (even here the main reason why she went to jail was she assaulted the guy, not because she falsely accused him).

Reminds me of that mattress girl story, the story was that the girl claims a dude she was with raped her, told everyone on campus that he raped her, he lost his scholarship and had to go back to his home country. police had enough evidence through text messages and witnesses that it was all consensual so the case was dropped (i don't believe she was charged with anything). so to prove her victimhood she was carrying around the mattress she claimed she was raped on during this whole event, and since it was a thing that stood out and for a long period, the general still believed that the guy was a rapist never bothering to get updated with the story, and the school won't give him his scholarship back. this is a messed up world to that with one accusation without proof you are labeled and even if proven innocent, if those people don't seek that information they will believe that headline
