r/Idontworkherelady shows what happens when the phrase "The customer is always right" gets taken to the extreme. You end up with entitled customers who demand to be serviced... by other customers! In today's video, a stuck-up woman at a grocery store calls the cop on a guy minding his own business, and then ends up getting HERSELF arrested with her lies. LOL, talk about instant karma!

@@ploppledoodledoo17 regardless of the abuse, it wasn't her idea to kidnap the child and it wasn't her dragging the child forcibly over. From a simple standpoint of view of a cop, she is still seen as an accomplice who went along with her husband who ultimately decided to kidnap the child. Because she did not come up with the idea, did not start this, and only played along due to the situation. She is still considered an accomplice by definition.

It's even funnier if you imagine him in prison surrounded by rapists, thieves and murderers, and when he tells his story its: "I went out to buy some groceries and this chick wouldn't help me, so I dragged her to the front to get her fired. Turned out she didn't work there, so I panicked and said she was my daughter that I caught stealing, but then her Aunt came, so I panicked and ran. Also, I forgot I didn't pay for the groceries."

The editor of these various series of stories seems to be language impaired, as he/she/it puts gratuitous profanity into virtually every story. Believe it or not, that doesn't happen in real life.

Oh man, that sidearm story... Reminds me of a similar experience with me. I have to work a rotating schedule. When I am on a night shift rotation I will walk my German Shepherd on the nights I am not working. My standard route for a while was a 3 mile route around the neighborhood, I love walking at night during the summers because its nice and cool, its peaceful, and for the most part I don't ever see anyone else... CUE the Karen of my story. Let me preface this with the fact that I am an officer, and at the time of this story I was waiting for my concealed carry permit to be approved by the local police department so if I wanted to carry I had to open carry. One day about half way through my walk, a local officer pulls up and asks me what I am doing, staging behind his vehicle. I just friendly say I am walking my dog. He realized I was being calm and came up and told me that a lady called to report that I was walking around at night, casing houses and threating her with my gun and "vicious" dog. Meanwhile my dogs butt is wagging and happy, she feeds off of my energy fairly well. I explained to him that I was also an officer and just waiting for my concealed to come in, or I wouldn't have been open carrying to begin with. That conversation ended with us talking about our duty pistols, which shooting ranges we liked the most in the area, ect. Que about a week later, once again this officer pulls up to me on my walk and says he got a report from the same crazy woman and asked me to walk back to her location with him (it was only like a block away at this point.) So we walk back and this lady goes crazy that the officer is bringing a "ferocious beast" to her property (she was sitting next to me on the sidewalk, not on her property) and "how dare you invite this criminal to my home. He could shoot me at any time!!!" The officer tries to calmly explain to her that I am also an officer and just walking my dog. I pulled out my badge (I carry it on me when I have my pistol as a little extra insurance) and my dog whines because she just wants to get back to walking. She flips out that I better keep that "Disgusting mutt" away from her, and then threatens to call the cops on me if I EVER walk by her house again. The officer told her that if she calls the cops on me again on false reports of me threating her, that she will be arrested instead. Needless to say, about 3 days later I walk my normal route, officer pulls up again, pets my dog (meanwhile I hear a woman screaming in the back of his car) and says "well she is in the back for false reports, but if you could, please walk on the next street up from now on, this woman is a living hell to deal with."

Similar thing happened to me at Walmart when I was in my early 20's. I did work there but due to an eye infection, I wasn't able to wear contacts and, alas, had no glasses. So I'm sitting in the floor stocking lipsticks when I hear someone whistle. I looked up but, of course, couldn't see anyone. I continued stocking until I was grabbed by my arm and pulled to my feet. Some guy was screaming in my face that "when he whistles and crooks his finger, I was to come running". I tried to tell him that I couldn't see but he wouldn't even let me finish. He just kept screaming threats at me and started shaking me very hard. At this point he was scaring me, so I started yelling for help and the assistant manager came running over. The jerk let go of me and ran. The assistant manager tried to catch the guy but couldn't. I had finger bruises on my arm but no worse for wear. People can be really mean.

I go for the "excuse me can I ask you something?" when I know they work there, I'm dutch, you can expect zero from employees if you are rude. If they work at the place that means they are higher in rank than you, waiters, shelvestockers, delivery people, they are in charge not you. Foreigners (well Americans mainly) think dutch staff are so rude but frankly I really apreciate it. They are doing a job not trying to be servants to every person who buys something.

At 5'3" I am severely vertically challenged and I have often had to resort to asking someone who is NOT VC to pull something from a top shelf for me. Fortunately, everyone I asked was polite enough to get the item for me. Something I have noticed in many of these stories is that not only are these people stupid enough that they can't seem to understand plain English when they are told "I don't work here" but that stupidity also extends to their not seeming to realize that there are such things as security cameras and when they lie about what happened the security tape is very quickly going to prove they are lying....like the Karen who accused the armored truck employee of "waving the gun around" when the tape proved that the gun was never out of it's holster. You would think that if they MUST lie, they would at least try to make their lie believable and certainly not tell a lie that can immediately be proven to be a lie.

Me: *Not knowing she's talking to me* She: *Pintches my face* Are you listening to me? Me: *Noticing her* What? She: *Starts clapping after each word for no reason* Are you listening? Me: *Cutting her off as I want to get my coffee and my muffin* ... She: *Still clapping* What are you doing?! Me: *Paying my coffee and muffing while keeping my eye contact and then walking to my sisters.* I get to the table and sit down before both of my sisters burst out laughing. It was a small cafe, so she hears it as well. She's pissed. Until this moment I didn't know what she was asking from me, because I had my headphones on. I got to know what was happening before I noticed her by my sisters. (I wasn't even that close. For any american reader 1,5 meters is about 5 feet and there was someone before her only like 0,5 meters away...)

I'm a clapper... in a way. In my defense, I only ever clap when I'm in the right. Like when that one basic Starbucks drinking, UGGS wearing little maniac tried to get in front of me in line. Long story short, she spilled coffee on me because I didn't let her cut in line so I feel like me clapping at her about being a "self-entitled little Karen" was justified. I may or may not have also sneezed on her because her perfume was so strong and told her I was "allergic to Kardashian wanabees" but that's beside the point.

I know this comment is old af, but basically the only other rationale that could have made this seem like a reasonable conclusion to come to is drugs. If the sweaty bbq stained wifebeater is anything to go by, probably drugs. Especially given that most kidnappers who have gotten away with it more than once are typically smart enough to not draw attention to themselves, as opposed to making a giant scene in a public grocery store.

I asked her politely if she could either slow down or hand me her list so that I could better serve her. She proceeded to repeat her order in a slow voice and clapping I (clap) want (clap) etc. Then ended with telling me to chop chop. I refused to ever wait on her again. Then I quit a month later. That last one reminded me of something that happened 40 years ago. I went to an all boys high school, and was part of an honor guard for the girls in our sister-schools flag team at football games. Part of the requirement was to ride in a bus with flag team/band members - normally there was a charge for this if you weren't a member of one of the teams. For an away game, my stepdad wanted to go but didn't want to drive the whole way alone, so I simply paid for him to ride on the same bus I did. My stepdad was somewhat younger than my Mother, but due to a genetic condition looked *much* younger (no beard, very smooth skin). Now back then you could smoke on school grounds if you were an adult - obviously students couldn't. He lit up a last cig just before the bus was about to be boarded and take off - and cue butthole teacher.: "Boy, you must *want* detention!" "I'm not a student". "Don't lie to me! I've seen you in homeroom!" (at this point the other students and I are standing around trying not to laugh) "Son, I'm older than you are, I'm 44 and you look about 30. I am not a student. I am his dad." - and my 5'7" pale German stepdad points to my 6'4" obviously mixed race self - when I say no resemblance I mean *no way* we are related. Unfortunately for the teacher he doesn't see the vice principal, a family friend, walking up behind him as he starts cursing up a storm and grabs at the cigarette in my stepdad's mouth. As my stepdad naturally pulls back, the teacher's hand hits his glasses knocking them off. The teacher is immediately grabbed by the shoulder and spun around by the vice-principal who calmly says "That is Mr. X - he is that students step-father and a good friend, wth do you think you're doing." The teacher started verbally backtracking "oh, I thought he was *just* a student, I didn't realize..." At this point the vice principal begins a lecture that I will never forget - but can't repeat here in detail. Basically, 'None of our students is *just* a student...never speak like that to, or in front of students again....*NEVER* touch a student in anger like that..go home, you aren't needed to chaperone the bus, Mr. X can do it as he's riding anyway . Be in my office tomorrow at 8 AM" We'll never know what was said, but we had a substitute for homeroom that morning - and never saw that teacher again.

He told me he "had to" suspend me for 2 days, zero tolerance crap as he called it, but my Dad (Mom was further away) was almost an hour away, so I should go get all the work i was going to miss in class, so I wouldn't fall behind. We always had to "follow policy or get written up/fired". When we did and entitled asked for managers, the managers ALWAYS "changed the policy" and made us hourlys look like complete idiots. That would infuriate me. I despise that Customer is always right BS. ( I worked with public over 30 years. I would never treat anyone like crap. Honey is sweeter!)

I get mistaken for an employee every time I walk into a store. Luckily I haven't dealt with any entitled assholes yet and the people apologize for the mix up. The funniest one though was at the local Hobby Lobby. It was hot and I was in booty shorts and a spaghetti strap tank top with my Bluetooth headphones in. I said to the woman when she asked I think I would be fired for violating the dress code. Right as the manager (who knows me as a regular) is walking by. He says "I love your business but if you worked here you would be fired for that. And we all had a good laugh about it 😊

Be a woman that works at gamestop, you get clapped at all the time. Customer: Do you know where I can find Mario for Xbox? Me: Sorry, but Mario is a Nintendo game, and Nintendo creates things tend to stay on their consoles. You would need to pick out a Wii, Wii-u or one of their DS games. (No switch at the time.) Customer: Perhaps you don't understand. You probably don't even play games. Let me break it down for you. I clap want clap a Mario game clap on the clap xbox. Not clap Nintendo. Sheesh, they'll hire anyone here. Me: Sir, I think you should do some research yourself. He proceeds to ask for a manager. And I direct him to the female keyholder that was present and he left in a huff. This is also the same place a dude was banned on my first day (my first day was the Destiny midnight launch), after he proceeded to shove me into the brick wall outside, hard enough to cause scrapes, but soft enough that I could handle easy. Assistant manager came out and fixed the situation by never letting him in again

Oh god yes. I was a female working at Game for two years. Mostly got away without sexism and just had surprised reactions at my existence, but had one guy who knew fuck all about games and admitted he hadn't owned a console since his old atari, come in to buy a PS3 from us who. After every single game recommendation I made, he ask for "a man's opinion of that". I was recommending uncharted, bioshock and the last of us.

The story where the girl is being dragged away is just terrifying. I think his intention was just to kidnap her anyways. That’s just really weird to be “so embarrassed” when you drag a teenage girl to the front of a store and consequently find out she doesn’t work there that you pretend she’s your daughter. The fact the wife played along like she knew what to do is so weird too. She was yelling help and that he was assaulting her, but a normal person (wouldn’t grab her in the first place) definitely would let go when she started yelling that. Like what were they gonna do when they got her out there? Chew her out for yelling that and sorry not sorry for thinking you’re an employee? Nobody is going to try to save face that badly. If they think they were going to avoid assault charges by doing that it still doesn’t make sense because they could still call the cops. I believe they saw a teenage girl who they thought was alone, knew she didn’t work there, but wanted to start a scene to make her look like an unruly teen so they could get her out. They wanted to kidnap her from the very beginning. I’m glad her aunt came out in time to get her out of that.
