My friend once lent me two comic books. I read them and took care of them as best as I could. I gave them back and the next day he comes to me angrily telling me I ruined his comics. Somehow, upon returning the books my friend opens them to find that all of the pages, literally every single one in BOTH books, were no longer attached to the spine and they all fell out, leaving only the cover. There were no stains, no marks, no scratches, because I took care of the books. The only damage was that the pages fell out and, to this day, I still have no idea how that happened and where I went wrong.
