Those security tags are not designed to be impregnable, just to be awkward to deal with so that you can't sneak the bottle out without paying. This kind of method isn't that uncommon where I am and works fine, though sadly often not enough of them have the concrete wheelchair space beside them so if people are already using the bench i don't really have an alternative one to pull up beside and end up either on mud or awkwardly taking up space on the pavement

Regarding the hotel HDMI thing. They are prob using a dumb HDMI splitter to each room for the hotels info screen. Guests unplug the HDMI to plug in their own stuff and causes all the screens to blank for a sec while it all re syncs. Ive had that just with a couple of screens in my house. I used to rent a shed for $300 a month. It was big, had good AC, access to a bathroom in a trailer, which had a tub and hot water. The roof leaked and the landlord was kind of a slumlord. The door was a sliding door with a latch from the inside, and lock on the outside. When I finally left I used a tool to close the latch from the outside, so even with the key getting in was impossible. I wedged a full trash can between the bed and the bathroom door you couldn't get in that way either. I left all the power on, the AC running, the refrigerator open, trash everywhere. That guy was a huge prick, but this story is long enough already.

Speaking from experience- milk spoiled to the point of sourness is hands down one of the worst things I ever tasted. What came back up immediately after made top of the list. The type of paint a lot of school and other public facilites use is easy to clean, but doesn't adhere to the walls as well as some other paints. Because of this a lot of tape, when you peal it off, it takes the paint with is leaving holes in the paint job. A hotel I stayed at had cable but at the same time it disabled the HDMI use so when my brother got his PS5 that day he couldn't play it without unhooking the cable wire giving the TV channels. He just got it and couldn't play it anywhere other than the hotel that day. He told the worker that he unhooked the cable wire to the TV temporarily so the HDMI would work and that he'd reconnect it afterwards. He even tested the TV after the cable was reconnected to make sure he didn't mess anything up and he didn't mess anything up so I guess it was worth it. Now the employee knows how to get the HDMI working for the next person who needs to use HDMI...
