Not special, chosen. Meaning you didn't really ask for it, it was kind of forced on you. What was imposed? To be the one responsible for humanity behaving as it is expected of it. It's quite similar to those who run into the fire to save people they don't even know. Would anyone want to do this job, take on this kind of responsibility? Probably only a handful agreed to this, only those who have this tendency in their hearts. These are called Jews.

What do you mean kingdom of god? Like the Jewish concept of afterlife/heaven? No, there will be plenty of non Jews there as far as most theories go. Ifs more from the concept of let’s say a family home and everyone has their role they’re expected to fulfill. Maybe the mom cooks but dad washes the dishes, etc everyone has their own role to play. And if there are multiple kids in the house, usually the older sibling is the one that’s expected to do more of the chores, he/she’s the one held to a higher responsibility expectation by the parent .. doesn’t make the other kids less or more valuable or more or less part of the household. And yes people can convert to Judaism but Jews are supposed to discourage the person bc as a convert they’d have to keep all the commandments (so basically be fully fully religious lifestyle always) and this is crazy difficult. I will tell you most Jews don’t fill this role, but the ultra orthodox usually try the most And also discouraged bc you’re good enough as it is, why would you volunteer to take on more duties when you don’t have to.

@@Shane-zx4ps Biblical Judaism and Biblical Christianity, unlike all other (pagan) religions, does not teach that we are to manipulate G-D to do our bidding. In effect, these other religions bring down their g-ds to earth, to do their bidding, either by spell, chant, sacrifice, or some bribery. Certainly, sacrifices in Judeo-Christian Bible teaching exists, but it is for payment for sin, or part of praising/thanking G-D. The Rabbi here in this video SOUNDED like he was saying we are to bring G-D down to earth ourselves. In esoteric terms, the so-called Magen David symbolizes a PAGAN practice, where one triangle points up to G-D, and the other down to man. Thus, there is a mirroring effect of what happens above causes what happens below, AND VISA VERSA. I personally reject this symbol, since I believe it is the "star" Israel took with them from Egypt, as per the prophet Amos in 5:26. I was hoping the Rabbi could clarify his point.

Not an intretation of a book written in an extremely difficult language (torah or the old testament) wich was also written hundreds of years before the talmud was written. @@georgyekimov4577the talmud basically shows me that whoever made that sht up was a narcissist and that you guys cling to a man made religion because you're spiritually dead. jews literally hate themselves, because the basis for spirituality is "i am the light i see in others" or "do unto others as you would yourself". Spiritually dead like all religions. And if God is good then god is bad, because this perception requires duality. Enjoy your re-incarceration, because I'm pretty sure life is a karmic trap and how you view others is a reflection.

They think that the Talmud is a little book that you carry under your arm like a Bible and that every Jew has one at the head of the bed. The Babylonian Talmud has 37 volumes and 63 treatises, to study the Talmud you necessarily need to enter a Yeshiva, you must have rabbinic guidance and there must be 3 or more people studying as the text needs to be debated. The Talmud does not work with ready-made formulas, it is entirely written based on discussions that are sometimes inconclusive and even confusing and contradictory. And you need to know Aramaic and Hebrew to read the Talmud and know how to correctly equidotize the text, the words, the meaning of the text, etc. Judaism is not Christianity, there is no "Sola Scriptura" and no "free examination" of the text as it is in Protestant churches. You can't just take a crappy translation of the Talmud and go around posting out-of-context and even adulterated excerpts and think you understand everything about the Talmud. The name of this is dishonesty...

The answer is found in the Hebrew OT. Isaiah 56:1-8. Please note that the covenant isn't only with Israel. Hashem welcomes anyone who wants to join in. Meaning, you have to forsake your religion and beliefs whether it be christianiy, islam, judaism, or any other religion out there. If you do this, it's more than likely that you will have inheritance among Israel as it says in Ezekiel 47:22-23.

I have familiarized myself with the history of Germanic Jews since the 1800s in order to understand why my family came here. It’s very sad because in my opinion after learning so much, I believe they were forced by society to reject their culture and Jewish beliefs. I have always felt very strongly that being a Jew would bring me closer to the higher power of the universe, to the energy of creation and help guide me in the direction of growing as a person. I do not believe I am still considered a Jew by blood, but I would really love to return my own beliefs to Judaism not only in honor of my family but also because it would feel great to me personally. I deleted my too long comment ☺️ in short, Judaism developed a sort of "universal" perspective under the influence of Christianity and Islam who were actually about a God for everyone and not an ethnic deity for some tribes.Judaism struggles and always will with the notion of "choseness", whose elitism and inherent "spiritual / ethnic racism" is actually troubling and modern Jewish thinkers addressed bravely the issue. What Jews think of non Jews is a Jewish concern, trying to keep together their identity based on choseness and sort of balance with a world that since OT times doesn't agree on being considered sub human. Btw just one thing , it's not true that "Jews don't proselitize" .They did in pre-christian times. Then it just became not safe, it wasn't a spiritual take on "you don't need to convert".
