There is a glaring issue here that Dr. Grande does not address. Why do women who are romantic rivals fight EACH OTHER? There seems to be so much of this going on, though it usually does not involve murder. If your boyfriend is two-timing you with another woman, and you manage to scare your rival away, do you really think that he will then be faithful to you? If your romantic or sexual partner has other partners, then your problem is with him, not the other woman. He is the one you should be threatening, or better yet, just leave the creep. Blaming the "other woman" and not the guy makes no sense at all.
@MLJay3 жыл бұрын
It could be a sort of animal instinct. 2 females fighting over a mate. It’s ridiculous yes.. you would think that humans have evolved from these instincts but looking around, it seems many humans aren’t evolving 😒 It’s a good question. I’d enjoy hearing Dr. Grande take it on.
@JLynnEchelon3 жыл бұрын
There's an element of internalized misogyny as well. It's easier to believe that your innocent partner is being led astray by a vindictive woman than the person you love purposely hurting you.
@natekeyes22973 жыл бұрын
@@Kirsten_is_cursed10 Actually, I think I would, although your scenario of "two guys in a bar fight" is not very specific. But if a guy is in a bar with his girlfriend, and SHE starts flirting with another guy, it makes no sense at all for him to try to punch out that other guy. If his girlfriend comes on to other guys, beating up one guy does not ensure that she won't be flirting with someone else the next day. So the logic is the same. If your romantic/sexual partner is unfaithful, your problem is with them, not the other person.

Very interesting story, a crazy young love triangle went way to far. Sad story but a lesson to all that no one man or woman is worth you’re life.

Excellent. Thank you. I've watched many videos that totally demonize Rachel but completely look over the fact that Sara wasn't an angel. In fact, Sara was physically aggressive and had been in lots of fights once she started dating Camacho. I think Rachel was over charged and it was because of those voice mails.

True.

Sarah and her friends were instigators, because they would frequent Rachel's place of employment, which was a well-known restaurant, and harass her endlessly while she was working.

The amount of time and energy people, especially women, spend fighting over some loser, we could be travelling to Mars in our flying cars by now.

Being the looser is highly preferable. Love that. Wish I would have been able to rationalize that when I was younger.

Great video! Dr Granda is awesome! For a real challenge... how about the defendants in the Hoyt Burge case? I would be interested in hearing the dynamics of how each individual contributed and how drug use and group thinking helped them to justify doing the unthinkable to someone they grew up with. Thanks

Thank you for covering this case. I remember reading about it when it happened. It's an all around tragic story. The only person to seem unaffected is Comacho. I'll keep my thoughts about that kid to myself. Sarah's mother's victim impact statement was powerful. Sarah had a bright future. She was a great student, until she dated Josh. All teenage girls should know about this story. It's very much a cautionary tale.

Funny enough, much older and even educated(?!) women have similar battles over some not so special male individual. My best friend had a major situation over someone much younger, absolute piece of work, who would not reveal what he works or even his real name. She is a doctor 🙈

I knew a pediatrician who got involved with a chronically unemployed, abusive deadbeat too. Education apparently doesn't necessarily prevent people from making horrible choices.

Men like Joshua look for insecurities and low self esteem in women, especially young women so they can control and use them. When they're bored with them they are dumped. Unfortunately, by this time the woman truly believes they meant something to him. Fighting over anyone is pointless. Still would love to know what is in that plant table drawer. 🌵
