@susanmcpeak72679 ай бұрын
If she took him out of state, she would be even more trouble. Once you cross the state line, it becomes a FEDERAL crime. This means the FBI becomes involved in the missing child abduction. She would have faced time in a federal prison. I guarantee that the prisoners would not take lightly to her crime. She is damn lucky. Kidnapping is a FELONY, hence the 11 year sentence. 🙄 For the baby's sake, I would want life in prison to keep him safe.

I am assuming there was much left out in regards to the trial. The SIL had a thought out plan, it was racially motivated, and her lack of remorse and accountability. That is probably why the sentence seems excessive. IMHO they should have had MIL tried as an accomplice.

If this had been in the United States before the mid Twentieth Century, the death penalty would have been on the table for the kidnapping because of the Lindbergh kidnapping case. Given the total lack of self-awareness and lack of any sort of integrity to know right and wrong, 11 years may actually might not have been long enough, particularly with the obvious premeditation. As for OP, it probably wasn't just post partum depression, it was likely complex PTSD, which can be much harder to manage than even straight PTSD. MIL got off easy. She should have gone to prison also for collusion.

Or something like that. Lets see... How the hell can anyone question if this was kidnapping!? Of course it is! Mia broke into their house in the middle of the night, took the baby. Then went to a friends with the expressed plan of running away with him. If that isn't kidnapping then I don't know what the hell is. Yes, Mia deserved the 11 year sentence. If Mia is terrified of giving birth AND wants a baby of the bloodline, all she has to do is use her egg and get a surrogate. These inlaws are trash. I’m so glad that OP’s husband was actually smart enough to see how his own family’s behaviour is unhinged and actually supported his wife. There’s been too many of these stories where the husband would support their narcissistic mothers and gaslight their wives into thinking she is in the wrong. My heart goes out to both of them and what they went through was extremely traumatic, the sister’s sentencing was definitely justified although a few more years added to the sentencing wouldn’t go amiss. You definitely cant steal a child and expect nothing was going to happen to you just because you’re white.

After wards: The parents was able to find them are once again broke in and tried to attack the wife but the husband took a baseball bat and beat the living hell out of his father brutally and the husband kept swinging his bat as hard as he can and even call his sister a racist psycho b- and told them that he hopes that his sister gets beaten up in prison. He kept on swing the bat until his wife came and stopped him and she told her MIL that this will be her if they ever come near them. The MIL was very scared and crying while her son called them an racist old fashioned bastard. He started insulting his mother and calling her names and even insulted his sister and even called her names. He even mentioned if they ever come her again he will report them to the police. They finally left defeated and went back home eventually falling into depression but to add insult to injury their daughter was killed in prison after picking a fight with the wrong person. This put them into severe depression to the point that the mother suffered from dementia and both decided to sell their house and just go into a retirement home as the father is already suffering from injury from the beatdown and he is on a wheelchair as well as the beatdown permanently paralyzed him. They actually cannot press charges as it will violate the restraining order. They are finally suffering and the father started to show remorse as if he and his family have accepted his son and his wife then none of this would have happened.

We met at Walmart and she bought us a car seat. a lot of them asked me for my Amazon links and bought us multiple gifts. All they cared about was the baby. This sort of scenario could have easily happened many times during the days of slavery. An enslaved woman who was 3/4 African gives birth to either her Master’s or her Master’s son’s baby who is very white passing but it would not do for others to see a seemingly white person living the life of a black slave despite that being their born legal status. The son is “adopted” into the white slave owning family and lives a comparatively better life than his enslaved maternal relatives. Note: This conversation occurring with an enslaved black mother would be a best case scenario if it happened at all.
