I agree that it wasn't the best move for Jon to tell Arya and Sansa, but to be fair, the only reason Ned kept it a secret was because of Robert, and he promised Lyanna he'd keep Jon safe. I 100% believe that if Ned was still alive, he would have told Jon after Robert died.

Arya and Sansas irrational hatred of Dany before they knew anything about her is so stupid and only makes sense in retrospect when you already know where her character is headed. Why not have Arya or Sansa walk in on some uncomfortable moments, or slowly discover REAL reasons to distrust Dany. Instead its all just dumb shit like ShEs NoT oNe Of Us... Since when is Arya xenophobic?? They just make the characters do and say shit in order to get the plot where they need it to go w/ the least amount of effort.
@peuzipАй бұрын
25:45 thank you for acknowledging that. the show out of nowhere started acting as if the only one fighting the good fight was jon. nothing daenerys has done during her time in essos or westeros is acknowledged by the characters and is almost as if the writers wanted us to forget that and see dany as a completely different character in order to soften the criticism over their stupid writing.

OH MY HATE FOR SANSA - She is a jealous witch! How can you say in one breath the men in my family don't fare well in the South and yet offer Jon up to being the King in the South and stay there? If she hated what Littlefinger did to her then why do it to someone else. She sat her butt down in a Crypt and didn't fight for anyone during the long night and she has no gratitude for Dani coming and saving her behind and all of the living. She has nothing to offer her family but betrayal - she betrayed Arya when she was young with Joffrey and now she betrayed Jon while claiming loyalty for the Stark family????? I have hated her for so long. Blake is right her father died never divulging this secret (Honorable Ned Stark) but his Oldest daughter Sansa is just the most dishonorable. I wish Arya did get her for Sansa's note to Robb Stark and taken her out right then. The hate that I have for Sansa's character is crazy!!! Rant over, I guess, lol.
@johnj4471Ай бұрын
That’s a bit unfair about the secret as the only reason to keep it was Robert who was dead. Ned would possibly have told John once Robert was dead if he was alive and leave it up to him.

I think the worst part about this episode and the last one is that such great character interactions and relationship moments and people having hilarious callback jokes are bookended by some of the most unsatisfying 'bad events' to move the plot forward like Tyrion suddenly becoming dumb, Varys getting outsmarted, laser-guided scorpion shots and a character-who-shall-not-yet-be-said's fall from sanity.

Blake? Darlin’? Unclench and release those newly formed diamonds. I have to say, this show has the best dragons I’ve seen in any series or film. Harry Potter’s dragons were made with crayons compared to these. Desolation of Smaug totally sucks it. And to see the blood coming out his mouth as he fell after hit #3 was devastating, but man what talent went into creating these babies.

15:40 is the perfect reaction. Edit: Forgot about the ''hiding'' and killing a dragon... hiding in basically open water, behind a little mound of an island that you absolutely would see over from birds eye view, or dragons eye view, it is totally insane that they think it was at all believable that 3 shots landed on a flying target from behind a little pebble and then suddenly they couldn't aim for Drogon? Bad writing.

The only redeeming thing about what D&D did? They ruined things for themselves. They were in such a rush to end the show to get to their "bigger" projects it is what led to this bullshit season. As a result of their rush to get to them, they lost all their bigger projects and the money that accompanied them. No one to blame but themselves. They know they fucked up the show, too. There was some sort of comic con right after the show concluded and they were scheduled to speak on some panel. They were such chicken shits they cancelled with some obvious bullshit excuse. Seth Rogan goes after them hard about it. I think it's on KZbin somewhere.

How does someone flying a cesna plane over the ocean not see an entire fleet of ships on the ocean. It's not like they were hiding under trees or were submerged under water until the last minute. That showed more stupidity in writing and stor direction than hitting 3 shots in a row from moving ships even if the sea was calm as glass and there were no waves.

Yeah the whole scene with the dragons flying & Euron's fleet coming was soooooooo dogshit to watch back in the days, like, EVERYTHING is wrong with this scene: 1) Dani FORGETS about Euron Greyjoy, which is a big enough "wtf?!" already, 2) Dragonstone is super close to King's Landing, but it seems they went for a stroll, chilling & vibing, 3) Dani flying a bit more for fun like it's "A whole new world" from Aladdin, on her magic Drogon carpet 4) She didn't see the whole fleet on the horizon before, while literally FLYING, with a super clear sky, over the sea (even Obi-Wan would be jealous of this "high ground advantage") 5) Euron's fleet had the Aim Bot ON for Rhaegal it seems, otherwise his move is basically a suicidal move ("hey, let's bring some ships under the fire of 2 dragons, boys!") 6) And of course, Aim Bot was bricked just after because Drogon had the mighty plot armor 7) Then, they proceed to escape while, OF COURSE, capturing Missandei ONLY (dramatic effect > logic it seems) etc etc. I was as mad as Blake while watching this episode, and I'm still mad as of today while watching it again XD

I totally disagree. Dany had no right telling Jon what to do with his secret. Arya and Sansa definitely needed to know about Jon’s parentage. Their father sacrificed so much to keep Jon safe. Sacrificed his honor. And Ned kept the secret to keep Jon safe from Robert’s wrath. Dany was just being selfish. The hell with her.
@bluebanter21xАй бұрын
The writing is so bad, and all the characters are so stupid. There is no point in even having opinions on the things they say & do in season 8, cuz none of it matters or makes any sense. When the entire show is devolving into nonsense, who gives a crap about whether or not Dany is being "selfish" in this one particular moment.
@MsAaannaaaАй бұрын
I don't disagree on Jon having the right to tell his own story to whoever he wants, I only disagree on Ned sacrificing "so much" to keep Jon safe. He didn't. He lied about having a bastard son which maybe tarnished his image but didn't really harm him at all. He still got his powerful position, a family & a long life. He sacrificed his honor (and life) in the end for Sansa & Arya, not for Jon.
@Victoria-kv9ozАй бұрын
@ Ned sacrificed his honor for his family which Jon is apart of. He did it to keep ALL of them safe. And remember, Ned knew that Jon was royalty. knew he was the heir to the Iron throne. Knew that he was Aegon Targaryen. Claiming Jon as his bastard kept him safe in Westeros too, I believe.
@ulovexyАй бұрын
How was she selfish for wanting that to stay a secret? Ned died because he was believing and taking with the wrong people. Her secret being out meant it would spread and people would automatically want a man on the throne.
@bluebanter21xАй бұрын
@@ulovexy heres the dumb part... How is Jon going to prove his identity??? Are they gonna fish out that random septon diary Gilly found that claimed Rhaegar annulled his previous marriage? That diary was already such a silly plot device... What's jon gonna say? "CROWN ME CUZ OF THIS RANDOM DIARY AND MY PSYCHIC ROBOBROTHER".. Also, who would actually have any stakes in Jon being king over Dany? Who stands to gain that much from it? Sansa? Its not like Jon has a separate power base of scheming lords who would want Dany pushed aside so they can ascend...The stakes don't feel real, and the conflict feels contrived.
@Victoria-kv9ozАй бұрын
LOL! Blake is so mad about a fictional show. 😂😂😂. Stop, Breathe, relax. It’s ok. And don’t call my Jon a bitch. lol. Ned kept the secret to keep him safe from Robert’s wrath. Robert is long gone. Jon had every right to tell his family the truth about him. Dany can know about him but not Sansa and Arya? The problem is that Tyrion totally underestimates Cersei. He always believed and prided himself on being smarter than his sister but never realized that Cersei learned at the feet of Tywin Lannister. She learned how to play the Game of Thrones from him. Daenerys does not know how to play the game.
@AllMenMustServeКүн бұрын
Daenerys doesn't need to know how to play the game although she had advisors who did, like Tyrion and Varys. She has dragons. If she wanted, she would be queen by the beggining of S7 and no one would ever have chance to defeat her. But instead she chose to save the North and fight the dead. She lost one of her dragons doing so. She never did anything to make Sansa feel this hostile towards her. If not for Daenerys they'd be done, no house stark and no north. But then Sansa says she doesn't want Jon to go South because Starks don't do well there? It's like 'hey Daenerys, come here help us with your dragons and bye bye. Oh and btw, the North is to remain independent too' loool Sansa says they won the battle of bastards because of her. What about the great battle? Who won it? Daenerys and her dragons, simple as that. I'd be okay with Daenerys becoming the Mad Queen if it was made differently. But no, it was rushed, no development whatsover. Varys basically turned against her for nothing and undermined everyone against her for no reason. And Tyrion becoming mentally impaired makes 0 sense. Her sister tried to sentence him to death, got Shae to lie in court to get him killed. He knew what she was capable, he knew she was a lier and a fake person but then again trusted her. What a nonsense. And Cersei wasn't the master you're making her to be. She got fooled by some sparrows and had her only remaining son killed because of it lol She was fooled several times during the entire show. Tyrion, Varys and Littlefinger were a thousand leagues ahead of her when it came to playing the game and but all 3 turned braindead in the last 2 seasons. Totally believable
@Victoria-kv9ozКүн бұрын
@ Daenerys HAD to go North and fight the dead. For one thing, she agreed after The Night King killed her dragon and besides, It wasn’t The North’s war. It was the war against the living and the dead. She and her army were not going to be spared from the Army of the dead or The Night King. And please, she didn’t “save” the North by herself. The Unsullied, The Dothraki, The Knights of the Vale, The Wildlings and The North ALL fought together…and then there was Arya, who actually killed The Night King. Also, whether Sansa liked Daenerys or not, Jon controlled the Northern Army and they ALL marched South (with him) to fight with Dany’s army. As for Cersei, I had way more respect for her than I did Daenerys. Cersei went right at her enemies. The Faith Militant, even Dany herself. But the crazy Queen just burned up innocent people in hopes that it would kill Cersei too. Dany could have went right at Cersei on Drogon…
@AllMenMustServeКүн бұрын
@@Victoria-kv9oz No dragons and they lose the fight vs the Night King. That isn't even debatable lol If you think differently, you're just delusional. Arya killed the Night King... right, she just skipped through thousands of wights and dozens of white walkers and jumped into the Night King. Totally believable. Straight out from a Marvel movie. Plus, you have more respect for Cersei? When she blew up the Sept was it all enemies? No it wasn't. And that made Tommen jump and she knew about it. bUt sHe LoVeD hEr cHiLdReN. Give me a break. Cersei only cared about herself and her feelings. Her love was conditional. It only mattered when it affected her. She never once had a redeeming moment, she didn't care about anyone else but herself.
@Victoria-kv9ozКүн бұрын
@ Oh good lawd! Of course the dragons. That goes without saying. And, If Daenerys would have killed some innocents by going straight at Cersei to kill her (like she should have), I wouldn’t have had a problem with that, tbh because that wouldn’t of been her intent. She chose to just murder people instead of making an attempt to go for Cersei. Makes her a coward in my book. Cersei came right for Dany. And after The Faith Militant and the High Sparrows made her do that walk of atonement, you knew they were eventually going to be dealt with. The Tyrell’s, Uncle Kevan, Cersei didn’t give two shits about them. She also never gave a damn about the people of Kings Landing. They were all her enemies and they all did shit to her first. As for Tommen, well Cersei didn’t see that coming, no one did. That is on her. She lost her last child by her actions. Still, I respect Cersei’s get back.
@AllMenMustServeКүн бұрын
@ Following your logic, everyone in Kings Landing was also an enemy to Daenerys. But that isn’t how it works. Just because Cersei didn’t give a single shi about the people but herself, it doesn’t mean she didn’t killed innocent people on the way. She did whatever was necessary, even if it meant kill people that were in Sept who did nothing to her, and people who were also around the Sept, innocent people. And the worst of it was that she was crowned queen after. Like the people would actually support her claim after she destroyed the sept and killed several people. What a nonsense. I don’t agree with what Daenerys did either. No one in their right mind does. But it was rushed. All of the last 2 seasons were rushed, with poor writing. No development, just pure fan service and shock for the sake of it. They destroyed amazing characters like Jaime, Varys, Tyrion, Littlefinger, Daenerys, Jon Snow and Arya. The only character that stayed consistent and had a great finale (even though it was to defend a useless character) was Theon.

45:15 That's the most stupid objection for this episode....First we have to understand that characters can make mistakes. it's not that if anyone make a mistakes then it's bad writing. Second, nobody forgot about the fleet but they NEVER saw those ballista (or that they are) on the ships. They saw one on wagon. It's legit to think they went by the sea also to avoid things like that.

I want to know with what freaking army Yara took back the Iron Islands with?? No one left there wanted her as queen and most of the people loyal to her all died when Euron attacked her fleet. Also, I think it’s important to acknowledge that the writing went severely downhill in season 7 as well and,if we’re being really honest with ourselves, season 6. Season 6 you could really start to see the cracks in the writing with Aryas Braavos storyline. So much happened off screen and was left completely unexplained. Also, so many plot holes in the Braavos story line that it’s not even funny. But the dialogue, which should have been so rich with all our beloved characters intersecting in season 7 was dog shit.
