They also just put the voice cloning feature behind a paywall for the same reason, so everything you generate is tied to your credit card info.

I remember how last year when Dall-E Mini was released, and everyone was having fun with it making really scummy-looking images from various prompts... then we got AI tools that could generate almost original-looking art (minus some oddities like messed up hands or eating ramen with hands, or whatever)... and now, those issues hardly exist anymore... AI-generated speech doesn't sound mechanical anymore, and inflections are getting more natural-sounding... It's kinda scary.
