Good morning Heidi, great video... you've probably already started doing this now, but I would melt the oil and wax first and then let it cool down for about 5mins or so and then put in your essential oils.. that way the heat isn't burning off the oils and making you have to add more to it... It's the same process asmaking a soy candle making..

Heidi, I have Mountain Mint in .y herb garden. It's a mint but strong a s not something that sounds good to make a tea with. But I stuffed a quart jar full and topped it off with vodka, making an extract. It's smells really strong. I was wondering what you think if using it in a recipe like this. I k ow it's not an oil, but wondered if it would work.
@RainCountryHomestead2 жыл бұрын
The problem with extracts like that is they will not blend well with the oils used. This is why essential oils are a better option

I have a question. Is the purpose of the ingredients to absorb into the skin or to lay on the skin and be inhaled over a period of time? I love the ingredients you’ve included, even the one KZbin banned. But my understanding of the purpose of a vapor rub is that it is to be an occlusive, not an emollient. Would lanolin be a good substitute for the petroleum base, since it also forms a barrier on the skin to deliver the vapors over an extended period of time, with less absorption.
@wildunikitty97046 ай бұрын
This is a very good question !!! I woul like to know the awnser too ! I think you have something important here. I recently bought Lanolin and it is much like petroleum jelly but without the crap. It "stays" on the skin. If Vicks uses petroleum jelly, maybe it's because this property is important. I am currently using tiger balm and it has a petroleum base too. When I put it on, it's active for quite a while. Maybe somebody could make a side by side comparison !

I am still battling the fatigue off and on but there is not much one can do about that. I am positive it is related to EBV, especially since up to 95% of all adults carry that virus, all it takes is the right event to activate it and that is where that fatigue is coming from. It just has to run its course. On days it does not bother me, I do as much physical work as I can so on days when it is bothering me, I can rest more. Other than that, I just keep on doing everything else I normally do, with the citrus peel drink, spice or mint teas in the evening, taking extra C and D
@boricuachiko2 жыл бұрын
@@RainCountryHomestead I can't accept that, especially since there are people suffering with it for over 12 months now (plus doctors say it could do significant damage to tissues all throughout our bodies and brains). I just watched a panel of Dr.'s trying to battle this issue of long covid, and a man named Dr. Richard Horowitz mentioned what you said; covid reactivating lyme strains and ebv as well. he was able to treat patients and prevent them from going onto long covid with things like ivermectin, glutathione, NAC, ALA, and melatonin.

@@boricuachiko I am only talking about the fatigue, not any other symptoms.
