My wife and I have no children but we yet bought a 2020 Mazda CX-9 last year. It's the most comfortable and best driving vehicle we have ever own. Don't buy one if you need a true third row - I think it's bit too small for a large family. However, if you are a family of 4 or fewer people, it's the perfect car. BTW, I powder coated the wheels black and it looks very high end. I get lots of questions about it.

This is a rare find. I assumed all of their stuff was hecho en Mexico. Of course Toyota/Lexus hasn't taken a huge hit from making vehicles over here for a long time now (Canada/USA) ... But I'd consider made in Japan to be a selling feature still. Plus 1.

Hey Joe. I’ve been watching all your reviews, especially for this SUV segment. Originally I was interested in the Telluride, but no way I was paying Kia’s outrageous “market adjustment.” When car shopping became a necessity after my car was wrecked beyond repair, I decided on the 2021 CX-9 Touring w/premium package and that was the best decision I’ve ever made! For a single guy, it’s a great commuter and perfect for friends night out. The compliments I get are just too much to list! Appreciate all the hard work you and Lori put in
@justincase28303 жыл бұрын
John, do you know the difference between the two trims? thanks!
@johndemotto3 жыл бұрын
@@justincase2830 I’ll try to keep it as short and sweet as possible. Touring is a 7 seater, FWD with optional AWD, synthetic leather, standard sound system with apple/android play, front heated seats, power liftgate. The premium package is an extra $2K, well worth it in my opinion. It replaces the center row bench with 2 captain chairs, which now makes it a 6 seater. It also adds fog lights, extra usb ports, a wireless charger, power moonroof. The biggest difference and swayer for me is the upgraded sound system to a 12 speaker Bose. That’s some amazing sound! The Signature has all the bells and whistles that Joe talked about. Also Sig is AWD only. Price difference from Touring to Signature is about $8-10K. Hopefully that helps and that I didn’t bore you too much

@@johndemotto Excellent explanation John and thank you for your time spent. I am researching the auto market in the macro sense and am trying to hold off on buying anything until I get done waffling on what I would like to drive without a bunch of headaches.So far the prices are giving me one and most likely won't get any better.I don't know the warranty on the Mazda, but that three year maintenance free on a couple of Korean models is nice also. As far as looks go, Mazda-CX-9 wins.

Hey Joe, I just bought a 2022 CX-9. I've spent time in the Palisade and I had an older Highlander. There is nothing wrong with those. However, if driving feel is important, the CX-9 is the best. Nimble, great steering and I feel no turbo lag. This is the road trip car! As for the Entertainment Unit, I love the wheel and buttons. Hated it the first week, but once you get used to it, its very easy and lets you keep your eyes on the road. No touch screens for me. Thanks for all the great reviews!

Im a recently divorced dad of 3, traded in my 2020 2.0 accord 6 speed for a 2021 gt cx9 here in canada. I love it, feels like im driving a car, especially when put in manual mode feels like im driving stick. 99.9 of the times the 3rd row is down, test drove telluride, pilot, venza, rav4 tbey could not hold a candle to the cx9. Driving dynamics are excellent and for the price its an excellent value. Was considering the audi q5 but with all the features that tbe cx9 has would have came out close to 75g canadian for 55g canadian you can get the gt cx9. Not even the new mdx has ventilated seats or heads up display. And to tell you tbe truth it seems like acura copied the cx9 exterior and made it aggressive.

I've researched all the 3 row SUVs and conducted two long test drives for each of them. While the spec sheets with all the dimensions were helpful, they weren't as material as I thought they'd be when you actually get inside the vehicle. What swayed me more were the comments from the SUV forums. Where the owners give their actual experiences. I think the key to buying a car is determining which of the criteria (driving dynamics, reliability, looks/styling, comfort, fuel economy etc) is most important to you, then finding which of these vehicles is the best for you and your family. For me driving dynamics was number one followed by reliability, so we pulled the trigger on a '21 SUV.
