If you remembered any of the speech at the end of the first movie he said he didn't fit in with society any more. During war life was simpler and he knew he could trust he fellow soldiers. He gave up at the end of the first movie because he knew he would never fit in and he volunteered for the mission only because it involved saving captured soldiers. Although the transition may be difficult to understand without a clear grasp on what PTSD actually is the logic is fairly consistent between films the pace is the only difference.

Thank you! Going back to Vietnam may have meant facing the bad memories, but it also meant going back to a time and place where he knew how to handle the world he was living in, and knew he could do so WELL. And allowed him to face the trauma and take back his personal power, which is a big aim in PTSD therapy. Not that this is a GOOD suggestion for how to do this, but hey, it's Hollywood.
@MetalHeadGrace2 жыл бұрын
I think it fits perfectly because the first movie has him realize all his friends are dead, the ones who didn’t die in war died some other way after getting home and this is almost like a second chance for him to have people in his life again. All his brothers in combat died and then he finds out he has more brothers that need to be rescued so he goes into the same mindset as he did in the forest of the first movie but this time with a clearer goal and a reason outside of just surviving

6:58 - It's marked 7.62 because it's a test-fire round for training with an RPG. You load a 7.62 round into it as a test and the short barrel of it gives it the same potential trajectory as a true projectile so you know where the actual rocket may land.
@boatingman115 жыл бұрын
Yeah, there was tons of crap like that in the movie. The end scene where he's firing the M60 into Murdock's gear has M60 blank casings ejected onto the floor. The scene where he fires the LAAW at the Russian helicopter would have killed everyone in his chopper with the backblast. The blade on his knife would have completely went through the man he stabbed while camouflaged in mud and wounded him seriously. So many, many things.

What I like most about Rambo one and two. Is the acknowledgement of the Vietnam War, and the lives effected by that war. The way Vietnam War veterans have been treated in this country is fucking disgraceful. Believe it or not, they're still mistreated by some people in this country. I got family members who served in the Vietnam War. Who are treated with disrespect, mistrust, and hatred by other family members. While veterans of the war on terror, are treated like heroes. If you ask me, all veterans should be treated with the upmost respect.

Man, I’m glad that you said how this movie does not endorse war. Finally someone said it. It baffles me to this day. And yeah this movie isn’t necessarily inferior because I consider it in a different genre. Finally about the editing in this film with the helicopter battle, very confusing it seems like one minute he’s controlling the gun on the helicopter and then you see the POW is manning it.

Why does everyone make fun of Darth Vader shouting no? He just lost his pregnant wife, betrayed everything he believed in, became mostly mechanical due to losing all 4 limbs and having severe burns all over his body damaging his throat and lungs, and pretty much is responsible for putting the empire and the emperor whom he actually hates in power, and did this all for his wife to save her life. I would actually love to meet the man that feels good after that
@Darkko887 жыл бұрын
Nobody is mocking him for feeling sad, it's just that seeing that the first thing that he does in the prequels after becoming the biggest and scariest villain in the original trilogy is childishly shouting "NOOOO!" it's just silly. Imagine him shouting that when the emperor starts attacking Luke in Return of the Jedi, it wouldn't fit the tone at all.
@robinanwaldt6 жыл бұрын
ButterflyJill Because it’s an incredibly character breaking moment? The real Darth Vader would’ve stayed silent, yet probably kill everyone who bothered him in the slightest out of pure anger and hatred. In general, imagining that the Anakin from the prequels would turn into the Darth Vader from the originals is damn near impossible because of their vastly different characterizations and behavior.
@bloodrosereaper20996 жыл бұрын
The way it's said is meme worthy. Of course, after all he went through, it makes sense that Vader isn't in the best of mood's, but the way it's said is just laughable.
