Thank you so much for your effort. I think, that means we have to say "good bye" to them. But well, don't be too sad, the music is still there and the show is still coming up. Oh and if you are interested in something similar: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYDIq4tqfLx2b6c that guy has a very close voice to Till and who knows, maybe they are taking the place over. But I fear, I will have no luck, because I am not on patreon. I am a poor artist myself.

this song really hit me hard because it is exactly what has been on my mind for several months now. Being middle age, you can really see everything ending. I see my mom getting old, my friends have mostly gone, my daughter is eighteen and moved out on her own, my pet of fifteen years passed away, and I have been thinking a lot about Time and how fast it moves and how I wished it would stop sometimes.

I wouldn't call the song beautiful. For me it's more like a punch to the guts. After I listened the song for the first time, I didn't feel good. The song hit me. Last summer I ended a 10 year relationship after I was getting cheated on. I am still not fully recovered from this. So, after I listened to it for the first time, I was sitting on my couch, looked at the wall. I was feeling empty, I did not know what to say. I was crushed. "Augenblick, verweile doch. Ich bin noch nicht bereit" (Moment, please stay. I am not ready yet). This part was so hard. But that is why I think this song is a masterpiece. I never felt so bad after listening to a song. This was incredible. This song I so unique, so atmospheric... It is just a masterpiece.

Great reaction to an incredible song! Since it's release, I've had it on a perpetual loop. On first listen & watch, it brought me to tears, literally. Being & understanding German, & thinking of the turmoil in the world, the song, the lyrics & the visuals gave raw emotion - it seemed prophetic & all too real. Nothing short of a masterpiece in my eyes. Rammstein has done it again! Till really knows how to touch a nerve. Time comes to us all.

The three black dressed women are the three Nornes. In the old german fore-christian religion they represent the past, the present and the future. The Norne of the past is named Urd (the destiny). The Norne of the present is Verdandi (that what is now and that what will be in the next moment). The Norne of the future is Skuld (that what will grow out of the past and the always changing moments). The Nornes spin the rope of life. They decide where the rope begins and where it ends. In Germany we still say „life hangs at a thin rope“ when things are getting dangerous or somebody is really hurt or sick. The Nornes are no gods. They just represent the life. People can‘t influence time and a lot of things that happens. The life of everyone is created by the Nornes what means the time. And we all sitting in the same boat mightless in the sands of time. This is the credo of this song.
@sarcasticconsultant3782 жыл бұрын
According to the Plato and Goethe (Faust) references they are most probably the Moirai or the Parcae and not the Nornes, but that might be like splitting hairs..

Time, a force no one can stop, run away from, nor bargain with. It pushes us, sometimes soothing like a stream, sometimes wild like a river, towards the fate we all share. It does not care if you are rich or poor, old or young, favoured or abonded, blessed or cursed. It saw whole cultures, kingdoms, countrys and worlds arise, and it will see them falling apart, by the echos from its own steps moving forward. Fascinating, and yet terrifying.

An absolutely timeless song, a masterpiece. I've read a lot of comments on here, and it's touching to see how much people are dealing with the issue of time and are struggling not to give up. I wish everyone who has to go through difficult times all the strength you need. Never give up even when life is a strange journey. I too have lost a lot: friends, love, moments. But the memories remain, some good, some bad. Sometimes you have to learn to forget in order to be happy again. Never give up ♠️

In the beginning i thought that this song is one of the weaker songs of Rammstein, but hearing the song further it got to me. Especially in doing what Rammstein does really great: Picking a certain topic and hits you with it like a hammer. The message what is behind the song is so plain and clear and honest and hits a certain nerve. I love that their songs have all a particular topic which usually no one else has the guts to make a song about . Like for example: "Mann gegen Mann", "Wiener Blut", "Puppe" and the list goes on and on...

This is my favourite song of Rammstein's new album ❤️ I've been a fan since I first heard their music in 1999 when I was 14, and it's been an adventure seeing them evolve over the years. This song is a testament to that; time waits for no one, and no one can alter nor stop the passage of time. I currently reside in Minnesota, and Rammstein will be coming to Minneapolis for a show the end of August. This will most likely be the only chance I can see them live in concert 🔥🇩🇪🎸

Considering that they're all in their mid-late 50s except Oliver...who is 50...this very well could be their last. Remember, they didn't plan this album. They had 2 years of nothing to do, so naturally, they may as well make an album. Personally, my hope is that they made enough material for another couple albums after this one. These guys aren't The Rolling Stones. If one of the guys would instigate a retirement, it'll be Till, 100%. I think Richard will make music forever. The other 4? Who knows.

It will be a hard pill to swallow, the day they officially announce that an album is their last. But after almost 30 years, I could understand their desire for closure. Rammstein has never been as popular as it is today, thanks to all the youtube content promoting their live performances, including the excellent reaction channels such as this one. Kuddos to Chels & Mat for contributing to Rammstein's fame, I'm sure they brought their fair share of new Rammstein fans in the base, along with them. I hope "Zeit" is as good as the last untitled album, or even better. I really want Rammstein to go out with a BANG, since you know, it's quite their specialty...

Zeit, the album, came about as an unintended consequence of COVID and the band's inability to continue their tour. I don't know if it'll be their last album, I hope not as they clearly have so much more to give. This song and video punched me right in the stomach from the first listen and viewing. Both are so hauntingly, heartbreakingly beautiful and painful at the same time . The song, the music, the poetry of the lyrics are outstanding, Till's voice as clear, calm and haunting as usual. The video itself is a stunning masterpiece, so much imagery, so many references. Oliver losing his daughter in the video broke my heart. His devastated expression brought me to even more tears than I'd already shed by that point. The cinematography is beyond reproach. Damn you Rammstein, you made a blubbering mess of a middle-aged woman! I'm always repeating myself where you're concerned, Mat and Chels, but yet another great reaction from you and I agree, no, on second thoughts, this is a Tilleven+

Great Song and Video! 👍 About the three Figures: Norne (goddess of fate in Norse Mythology) In Norse Mythology, the Norns are female beings who determine fate. Three Women of destiny are mentioned by Name: They are called Urd (fate), Verdandi (that which becomes) and Skuld (guilt; that which is to be). Their Names are regarded as Norse equivalents of common medieval concepts of time in the form of personifications of the Past (Urd), Present (Verdandi) and Future (Skuld).
