Rent is bad everywhere. What you have there is a studio apartment, not a 1 bedroom. If you eventually upgrade, you will feel like how could you ever fill all the space. That's how I felt when I moved.

Protip: when using a video editor that allows you to edit but not export without paying. Do your editing, then fullscreen the video in playback mode and use screen recorder to capture the video. Bam! Free edited video.
