Watching with interest to see how you overcome the various nose issues, I have a feeling both your skills & patience will be fully tested! Great work and problem solving as usual, very much looking forward to seeing the progress next Friday.

Yikes, Steve! That is a very difficult task to try and curve that piece. It almost seems like you will save more time just making a new one to fit the car. I think if you go at it with the attitude you did with the fenders and the quarters, and just sneak up on it by patching it together, you might just avoid the hassle of trying to undo that one.
@SteveMirabelli8 ай бұрын
I guess I let it get the better of me. It is not that bad. I don't have a buck or master form to work from so modifying this one is my best option. It will be fine.

It’s going to be more than fine, it will be perfect! Thanks for the content, Steve!

Great work this is why i look forward to Friday's steve the resevours under the hood. The two you made circle cut on both sides of engine can they (the reservoirs) heat up and bubble paint?
@SteveMirabelli8 ай бұрын
I don't think that will be an issue but i might put a thinned out piece of pad in there.

The front end is going to be a pain but you have some awesome skills so I have faith you will get it sorted.

@SteveMirabelli who made the nose kit?
@SteveMirabelli8 ай бұрын
It is not a kit. The fellow usually builds them to each car in a custom fashion. He sold me the pieces roughed in because he knew I would have to customize them to a degree. If you are interested you can email me and I will give you his contact number .stevemirabelli@yahoo.com

Ya, this is alot... question: have you fit the headlight buckets in the holes? If so, do they contour well to the opening? Also was wondering if the hood skin might affect the height? Ie, if you have to lower or raise the hood bumpers to match the hood height to tops of fenders, will that change the final position of the recessions in the under hood frame?
@SteveMirabelli8 ай бұрын
No headlight buckets. I will be making drop down doors as I did for my car. No way to put those huge Challenger headlight housings in buckets . The fender to hood height has already been taken care of.

Be careful with that chemical paint remover. Several people have died using it. That surprised me, because I've used it for 30+ years and I'm still around, but now I'm a little more careful with my ventilation.

I'm getting upset for you. It almost seems to the point where you might have been further along making the panel from scratch rather than buying it. I'm looking forward to the next video. Thanks.

Wow, sorry to see that nose be so far off of being proper. Hope you can work it past this. As you process it, keep in your head the time frame of rework vs building new sections.
