Land Rovers look really nice, better/much better than the equivalent Lexus models. Unfortunately reliability is a huge concern. Too bad Lexus can’t make an SUV that looks like a Land Rover.

The screws on the armrests lock the armrests in place.

I’m not sure as to why. I think it’s so they dann be adjusted in different height positions. Off-roading sounds good... I’m not sure if that’s why. But Land Rover has been using that armrest design for yesrs.

I have an 09 range rover and those screws let you adjust where the arm rest "rests" some like it higher or lower depending on your height

That’s all I could understand about the reason for the screws. I’ve driven my Aunts 2016 Range Rover a few times and noticed how they adjust.

Nice review. Monocoque is pronounced: 'mono-coke'. Set the armrest to the desired height and the screw will lock it in place.

My mom has a Range Rover and my dad has a Land Rover and for as beautiful and nice as they are it’s just not worth it. Something happens to them at least once a year and it’s always $2000+ to fix it. Not to mention because they are so heavy you need new brakes and tires every other year. I mean they are beautiful and nice to have but my parents have said never again would they buy a Land Rover.

These are lovely specs. However the 20" wheels and 225/55 tires bely your premises and mean this car is meant for grocery duty pure and simple.

Land rover naming is bad they all are land rover but then they are range rover and in the range rover you get evoque,sport ,velar etc. The range rover sport competes with the LX the land rover discovery competes with the GX The GX looks better in Toyota prado form it doesn't suit Lexus

It'll compete with LX on price once optioned out. It's base price is above the most expensive GX, and about 10 grand less than an LX. Discovery competes more with RX in price and looks like RX 350 size. However, there isn't much of a price gap between RX and GX anymore. GX needs an update asap...It's a sinking ship!

@@KirkKreifels well even the LX and land cruiser are really old it's just this recent major facelift that's keeping it above water but surprised they haven't done a major facelift to the GX the prado has also got a major facelift in this year just to keep it going In going to disagree with you The sport does compete with LX as they both large luxury 4X4 The GX/ prado competes with the discovery as they slightly smaller and mid luxury The RX competes with the new velar and the NX competes with the evoque
