Haven't watched yet but gonna say now that Choco Island 1 and 2 are literally unplayable for me without suffering from my eyes hurting like fuck after just one race on them. The offroad texture is hell for my eyes, idk if anybody else feels the same lol

Tip for people playing super Mario kart: instead of turning, drifting is easier, but most people do it incorrectly: to control it, you need to jump while holding the opposite direction of your drift at the end of it

You have to master drifting to be good at this game. If you do, you'll realize ghost valley 1 and 2 is S tier and best tracks in the game next to rainbow road.

I actually like a lot of SNES tracks in comparison to everyone else. Ghost Valley 2 and 3 are by far my favourite. I hope they add either Ghost Valley 3 or Vanilla Lake 2 for the Booster Course Pass.

When I beat rainbow road for the first time on 100cc I couldn’t believe it. I toiled at it from like 6 to 18 years old before I finally beat it. Then something clicked and I cleared out 150cc in a few months. I never even learned to drift, just learned how to work the pack and not get bumped. Def beat it with koopa or toad the first time, they are the easiest characters

I actually enjoyed Choco Island in Mario Kart DS. Avoiding the Piranha Plants while sneaking and optimizing the bumps was a fun challenge. But obviously, MKDS physic is nowhere near SMK one. xD I didn't play Super Mario Kart as much as you did, but it's true that I remember these races being very bumpy and slow, not what we expect from a racing game. However, for me, both Vanilla Lakes remain the worst tracks ever in Super Mario Kart. We just can't see those flat ice blocks, and anyway, there are way too much. It's like playing a 2D Mario level but you have to watch your every steps because the creator put invisible blocks everywhere. x(

Honestly, I feel awful for Bowser Castle 2, if that had been refined, it could have been brilliant in the end. And I don’t really care for Mario Circuit 3 anymore, I can’t believe that I want Bowser Castle 2 more, than one of the most overrated, or in this case, overused tracks of all time. And that’s saying a lot. But with Bowser Castle 3 in Tour, there is new hope. The original was balanced well, and this one can work.
