Fun fact: in George of the Jungle, Brendan Fraser's character "George" wasn't actually supposed to swing into the tree. This is evidenced by the line in the theme song that played just a moment before, where the singer notifies George *NOT* to swing into the tree.

I don’t know if this is sarcasm but my dad made me watch George of the jungle as a kid because he had grown up watching the original tv show and it literally had no affect on me. I did not remember who was in it or what he looked like at all. I am positive I was completely unfazed by the naked scene. Which is interesting because at that age I definitely had a huge crush on Wesley Crusher from Star Trek and the older brother from Wizards Of Waverley Place.

@@rachelcookie321Oh I was also into the older brother from Wizards of Waverly Place lmao. Only watched Star Trek as an adult so Westley was not it for obvious reasons. I was obsessed with George the Jungle as a kid. And I've always been into Brendan Fraser but for some reason the naked scene did not do a thing for me. Don't ask me why but him in that Journey to the Center of the Earth worked more for me and I'm still unsure why especially because I actually like George in the Jungle when I don't like Journey to the Center of the Earth.

Omg I'm a 38 year old man and always thought cuss words were actually French because people always said pardon my French. Turns out they're Germanic and pardon my French is a derogatory term towards French people. B from the P probably helped perpetuate that incorrect belief. Amazing discovery from my childhood. Definitely a blast from the past.
@Just.Kidding
@Just.Kidding 4 ай бұрын
Saying they're Germanic doesn't quite cover it. English is a Germanic language, but it's also _heavily_ influenced by French. Your post even has "French" words in it. Essentially, when it comes to profanity in English, each word has its own history. Plenty of them would just be best described as English. You would describe a _language_ as Germanic, but not _words._
