Ransom projects never fail! He’s so consistent from verse to verse and is just incredibly witty. This album is going to get a lot of play from me for sure. That silver spoon line might be the bar of the album for me but so many crazy lines!

Ion think I’ve heard a bad verse from him since Directors cut - he just rapping on a hole nother level. Bro I’m torn! I might have to give bar of the album to that phill shell line cus how it fit into the whole boxing scheme. That or that star farm line 🔥 too many to chose from!

Nicholas Craven beats are on another level. His three ‘Craven N’ tapes are all super dope. J Arrr has a scheme in the early part of his verse with the character that Samuel L Jackson plays in those three M Night Shamalyan movies (Unbreakable, Split, Glass) that’s sick: ‘Sold your soul for an easy break, that’s Elijah Price. Line of sight through these [dudes] that missed the Glass reference”
@BSideRapReviews2 жыл бұрын
Bro believe it or not I never been a huge Craven fan. Always thought he was a fire producer but I don’t get super hype when I see his name like I do when I see Big Ghost or DJ Muggs or someone. What I like about him though is his beats always creative - never cookie cutter. Lol bro i NEVER catch movie bars! In my defense I haven’t seen those (never been an huge movie person) but even the movies I have scene I never catch the reference! So salute for that breakdown cus I never woulda got it 😂 that’s a tough bar!

@@BSideRapReviews Craven is on that list with Muggs for me. Real Bad Man is another cat making really dope beats for the MCs we rock with too. @BSideRapReviews2 жыл бұрын
Bro I can get behind it lol! It wasn’t the worse beat on the album but bro that sample is too jarring to loop it repeatedly like that. After the verse was over they finally would play a little bit more of the sample which felt less jarring and less repetitive but by that point I’m sick of the whole sample 😂 Hopefully I explained that right. What was your fav beat on the whole project?

ransom easily top 5 dead or alive fuck who ever says other wise, theres a lot of good lyricist but what separate Ransom from them is his consistency
@BSideRapReviews2 жыл бұрын
Dang so fuck me too?? Haha I'm playing. Its hard to say best all time unless you don't factor in time period. If we're saying just bar for bar without factoring in time period (ie: Rakim was by far the best of his era but rap has progressed to the point where modern lyricism is much better than golden age lyricism) then I rock with that. If you do factor in where rap was at the time, he's gonna have trouble when it comes to ranking him above guys like Rakim, 3K, Black Thought etc. But if we're talking bar for bar best at the moment I think he has to be top 5....I'm thinking probably Ransom, Mach Hommy, Roc Marciano, Lupe, and Billy Woods in no particular order.

have you heard the new jae skeese/big ghost joint?
@BSideRapReviews2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I thought it was really solid. This the first Skeese project and he def talented af. I like his cadence and delivery and his rhyme schemes are generally crisp. Production was dope too. The beats were brighter/not as dark as typical Ghost beats but ion think that’s a bad thing. Thing I did want Skeese to improve is I think a lot of his punchlines were kinda basic at times.
