Thank You Ashley l didn’t know that Dee had her hair dark at one time. I know Elvis probably had gotten adjusted to his daddies marriage, but down deep inside he still didn’t like another woman taking his mama’s place, l knew how he felt because 3 years after my daddies death my mom remarried, l understood that she was lonely and she still had 6 children under the age of 15 years on down to a year and a half which was my baby brother, my daddy was only 47 years old when he had passed away, he actually had all the things wrong with him that Elvis had which is kind of strange had to have an autopsy done because the Doctor said that my daddy had so many health issues they didn’t know what caused his death it was an enlarged heart that eventually caused a stroke that caused his death but he had a lot more complications also . Graceland is such a beautiful place l have been there twice also to Elvis’s Tupelo House l have a lot of pictures still that l took on the inside, when they had told us not to take them lol 😂l snuck them, l even have a picture of Elvis in his beautiful gold outfit, this one was a painting l believe! it turned out beautiful 🤩 🤩 plus we met JD Sumner years ago the year Elvis passed JD his wife was there along with Ronny Mac dowel singer his new song The King is Gone but my Ex husband and l along with our 2 sons at the time they were only kids , we traveled to Douglas Georgia where they were on tour with the TCB bus and one of Elvis’s Cadillacs the trunk had Elvis memorabilia items in it , my husband and l bought some of his stuff, l remember getting there early and being able to spend time talking to JD and having pictures made with him 😮 l stil have a couple my ex husband took. The rest 😢but l have the one l took of JD Sumner it turned out really well after l finally flipped my camera around 😂 JD and l laughed because he said your going to take a picture of your eye ball 😂hahaha Mrs Sumner finally came out of the bus l guess she thought that JD and l were having too many laughs hahaha 🤣 we had JD all to ourselves for a while, Ashley l hope you have been doing okay’ you still are so beautiful 🤩 🙏❤️💜🙏

Ashley. Thank You for posting this. I have an interesting story to tell about the Racquetball Court. My second visit to Graceland was in 1988! Back then, all of Elvis cars were parked under a carport in the back of Graceland. The walkway led to the Racquetball Court. I had a Canon 35 mm camera with a flash. I took a slew of pictures of the cars and had exactly 4 pictures left as I walked into the Racquetball Court. After immediately going inside, I noticed the piano that was reportedly the last time he played and sang Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain for the last time, the night before he passed away. Well, I snapped 2 pictures and the Flash went off. Then moved to the Court itself and proceeded to snap 2 more pictures. The flash went off again. As luck would have it, a security guard came out and started yelling that I had to give him the pictures as they weren’t authorized. I told him not too politely to go do that impossible thing and he then reached for my camera as he was determined to get the film. It turned into a shoving match and he threatened to have me “escorted” off the property. I told him it would take more than him. He went off to get help. Never saw him again. No one came to me again and I finished the tour. I still have those 4 pictures. Very good video. Thank You for posting.

Sounds sadly similar to the treatment of guests at Graceland in 2021. Cannot get over how horribly my wife and I were treated while touring Graceland. Elvis would not be happy to see how his fans are being treated by Graceland staff.

What I love so much about you Ashley, besides your sweet personality, is your eagle eye! You see things that we might not notice, or if we do notice, know nothing about it. I love how Graceland looked before Elvis and the changes that came with about. I also loved seeing how Minnie May's room looked from when it was Vernon and Gladys' room and I love seeing a peek into Vernon and Dee's home on Dolan. I love anything to do with Graceland and it's people, especially Elvis and family. lol Great job on this one Ashely!

Ashley leads us thru another awesome adventure! Many favorite parts: trying to imagine Elvis standing still while someone hemmed his pants, how his home changed as he grew older and times changed (like the gate openers and the bean bag) and the family photos of Priscilla and Lisa as part of the family visiting and allowing Lisa to keep those ties with her dads family. Is that the same time they visited Vernon when he was in the hospital? Amazing Job Ashley👏👏👏👏👏

I love all your adventures Ashley. I've always loved Graceland and have visited many times. I liked the picture of Jimmy velvet, he is a great guy, I met him in his Museum in Vegas and spent a lot of time there with him one visit and purchased some things from him. I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure the drawing/ painting of Graceland was on a DVD Elvis by the Presley's or The video of the tour with Priscilla I'm sorry but I can't remember Ashley It was the private tour she did in 84? I've seen this pic of Graceland when pris was talking about Mrs moore

Great memory! The painting/drawing from the 1984 doc was the actual architect's drawing but the one at Vernon's house is different. But... THIS GIVES ME A GREAT IDEA!!!

I got to hold Elvis’s Martin guitar but she couldn’t tell us anything about it. I’m guessing it was his Martin D-35 from ~1976, only because I believe his D-28 was sold at auction. I was there twice in mid 80s and I can tell you my pictures from both those visits of the same rooms visited and carport still outside the house with all the vehicles, already showed items disappeared in 6 months and a stereo was replaced along with a keyboard. Big statue in racquetball building was gone, all in there. Jungle room things disappeared. Photos disappeared. Piano in the house changed colours. So much yet they said both times it was still exact as when Elvis was alive and I called the tour guide out on it. Now of course stuff is moved to the museum and the private large room Lisa Marie goes into only showing it once

Hi, love these Secret Graceland videos you do ❤️. My favorite part was all of it, but what I found most interesting was the pictures of Vernon and Dee in their house on Dolan, it looks so different today compared to then, at some point they either removed the paneling while they were there, or the next buyer did. Didn’t Vernon and Dee live in another house before this one on Dolan ? I believe there was a picture made with Priscilla’s Dad and them standing in front of it…and it doesn’t look like the house on Dolan though.

I'm very sorry ! that Elvis Presley the King is gone !!!! All boys when I was a kid of ten and over including men were Envious of Elvis in Every Corner of his Life ! The Looks,the Voice,the Girls,the,Happy Endings of his Movies,His Humor, ! All movies were in TV was black and white but they still had giant impacts on thousands and thousands of fans Anyways !!! Love your channel I been subscribed awhile back but I been watching I am a Elvis Historian and actually a friend with Joe Esposito since the 80s I live in Chicago Joe was from Chicago Joe's brother Frank is how I met Joe and Frank who passed away too told me he drove Joe to Graceland when Joe got out of the Army he immediately moved to Graceland which Frank drove him and stayed a week before he went back home Frank stayed at Graceland many times Vegas The same .I have many stories from them brothers Especially the time in Vegas when Elvis announced Priscilla was leaving him .

You know Ashley I mentioned the story about Elvis when after a show in Vegas Elvis sat down there were about 6 people siting including Frank Joe's brother and Elvis announces that Priscilla is leaving him there was silence then Frank thought it was time for him to leave the group cause he felt that was a conversation that Elvis wanted to tell only the boys so he stood up Elvis says where u going Frank says I know Elvis u want some privacy and I probably should go Elvis says absolutely not Frank u like family u sit and relax .Elvis was such a gentleman and when he brought u in that circle that was special for whoever Frank been at shows and Graceland and movie sets year after year.

Also to Ashley I don't know I'd people knew but Vernon was a ladies man and had his share of women allott Frank for some reason he said was around Vernon allott .Vernon loved Frank so when he come to visit Vernon and Frank would hangout go to dinner and factual have women together always on the low Vernon was a handsome man and polite gentleman but had his share of women allott with Frank almost like it looked Frank said that the women were with Frank not Vernon but everyone knew even Elvis .Joe told me the Amazing thing it didn't matter how famous powerful or if they were the biggest rock group actor or politician when they met Elvis the minute the were next to him everyone of those people were like they were seeing God they were like in shock they were shaking it just shows the charisma and presence Elvis had they were mesmerized even at the sight of Elvis ..Also u probably know Joe eventually became the road manager and in the 60s he was the guy who report to colonel almost like he was a spy so guys didn't like that or Elvis at times cause there times when Joe told colonel things going on that were personal but probably not good resentment became the issue amongst the guys with Joe when Elvis passed Joe worked John Denver the Bee Gees and also Jerry Weintraub West Productions last but not least Colonel relationship with Elvis Joe Said was bad and good but in reality he could handle Elvis and good or bad about colonel he got him the most money and at times Elvis would say let's go on tour or this project cause Elvis gave his money away generosity .Also 50 50 split in concerts cause colonel took expenses charged against his half so when it washed out Joe said it was about 20% colonel got ..u let me know I have so many stories thank u

Ashley another good story on the way that Graceland looked before Elvis bought it . say Ashley would there be a story about Vernon's house . and do you know if their any rare pictures of Elvis at Vernons home.hey still going back and viewing the ones that I missed

The portrait of Elvis with the red border but very similar frame…my first thought was maybe since the house was red at the time of Elvis’ death, the border was red, then when tours started and the house was no longer red, maybe they just swapped out the border to match the house colors. Same picture, different border to match house possibly? 🤔 Something to look into. If you find out, let me know!!

That's such a good point! Since filming this I've learned it definitely is the same portrait so maybe they did swap the red for the neutral white. Thanks Olivia!

Also Elvis renovated after he bought it for his mom so photos of before and early on of doors stairs etc can't tell anything. Priscilla also did repairs and cleaned it up for tours

In the new movie there is a picture hung at the bottom of the staircase at Graceland and it's a picture of Graceland itself. Is that the same picture hanging in Vernon's house that you have pictured?

EP would have never kept those family photos framed in Graceland when Gladys was in his eyes the only family matriarch . ..the only other woman who occupied Gladys’s bedroom after Dee & Vernon moved out was Minnie Mae and later, Aunt Delta-
