The best wrestling channel on the net, bar non. He’s been uploading 3 top quality wrestling videos per week for about the best part of 2 years now. As well as plenty of content prior to this. Watching that Rock promo you could just feel the shift in the character. You can feel Dwayne's real feelings and bitterness over the crowd reaction to him take over and show dimensions to what had been a flat generic good guy. This was the birth of a future mega star.

The absolute deadpan of your “Thanks Raven.” After his usual nihilistic tirade gives me a good chuckle
@KingKhanate1997
@KingKhanate1997 2 жыл бұрын
@K Uhh, sort of? Lol. Late in his WCW run, it was revealed that for all of Raven’s nihilism and edgy attitude… His family is actually very wealthy, and Raven pretty much amounted to a pretentious teenager shouting “It’s not a phase Mom!” At his parents 😂. Kanyon visits their mansion and tries to snap Raven out of his stupor, while Sandman lounges in the pool and Raven repeatedly nods to the camera with an eye roll saying “What a mark” in a vaguely Ferris Bueller esque segment. ECW fans would rather act like it’s not canon, but I love it personally.

Late-'97 might be the high point of the war. Both shows had plenty of good stuff as WWF was starting to fully embrace the Attitude Era mindset and guys like Austin and Rock really were coming into their own as characters. Meanwhile, the NWO still had some juice and Hogan/Sting was getting closer and closer.
